This is the prime mistake made by priggish people - that's the proposed merger was political. It was not. It was purely economic, and had the backing of PM Cameron who knows that BAE in selling its Airbus 20 percent stake was feckless and outright folly. Boeing is a broad-based goliath. Europe needs the same. Emulating your successful peer is not small minded. It's smart. Hopefully, the merger will be revied and prove successful in future.

I have been following this stock ever since the Vallar days. You have to think of my statements as a kind of 'puzzle.' If this bothers you, well..... ignore it.
