I did say to my wife when it happened - if only Labour had chosen DAVID Milliband not his geeky brother for leader Labour would not now be in the terrible mess it is in now - however ! David is bored in the USA and would no doubt be pleased to come home and lead Labour to a Tony Blair type initial victory (which I predicted to the Tory Defence Minister just before that election)

Well done all those buying at about £5 - good return so far. No wonder the placing was so over subscribed at £5 a share !! When the new shares hit the market the SP will be dragged down - but by how much ? Anyone's guess in this heavily manipulated market - it may be a good move to sell your shares just prior to the market hit then buy back after the slide ?

Well done to those who sold on 15 May at 23p or 16 May at 20p or 17 May at 12p - you are either about even or in profit on the COP SP today. well done the punters who stayed in cash and bought in yesterday at 9p or 10p and held for today's mega SP rise. So why are we all not happy ? The SP has all the way back up to 150p which was tops last year - so if you are super confident in TCG recovery - hold for the 12 bagger profit to come. If you do not trust the BOD then sell out and wait for the company car crash then gloat and say "I told you so" What ever action you take there is no point in bad mouthing each other - we all have the right to buy and sell whenever we want and we always think we are doing the right thing !

I know that over 50 years of gambling on the market whenever I ignore my cautious instincts and get greedy for more profits it always goes wrong - an old adage "Never buy a pig in a poke" - see the pig before buying and check it over carefully before handing over your cash and also "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush " cash in the bank is safe - gambling is not

good news today - a 31 year old carer who has been proved by DNA tests to be the illegitimate son of a multi millionaire has now gained a £51 million fortune - on the death of his father - to spend on good causes !

There are about 4300 trades today - not all of them post regularly on the BBs - but when a SP rockets or tanks the "silent majority" have a right to put their point of view - backed up by facts not wild guesses of future SPs

Give James his due - at least he has not done a David Cameron betrayal and resigned and scuttled of to write his memoirs - leaving the rest of the UK to clear up his reckless BREXIT fiasco. I bought into SOU as the SP was raging upwards some time ago and sold at an excellent profit - I trusted James and I still believe he is an honest man but just an accountant and not a top notch O&G CEO.

As usual the villain here is the politically brainless MPs - back in January when the Stay MPs Project Fear was in full swing we had the numpties advising everyone NOT to book a EU destination holiday after March 2019 because the UK would be shut out of EU air spaces and could not land in any EU country - also our passports would be invalid and holiday insurance would be void --- no wonder bookings are down across the various companies AND none of the gloom and doom forecasts has come true. However the hottest Bank Holiday on record saw the Staycation holiday makers saving £11 billion on spending on foreign holidays. What a mess our govt is in - big business planned for shut downs in April post BREXIT - now BREXIT is back to October but the change has cost many companies lots of cash and disrupted holiday plans unnecessarily for millions.

Rant over - good to see the TCG remainers doing well today

Good2bhere - I am 73 years old and come from a hard working but poor family - the youngest of 3 sons - none of us has ever been given any Welfare State cash - all of us ended up as aircrew officers in the RAF (no positive discrimination) and two of us reached senior rank. Look at Lord Nuffield and John Paul Getty Snr and Alan Sugar - all left school at 15 or 16 - and all made themselves multi millionaires through their own efforts ! In the 1970s flying to Australia with the RAF we used to laugh at Ozzies calling us "Whingeing POMs" I now agree with that name - our daily TV is full of whingeing and whining men and women who are too idle to sort their lives out - everything now is the fault of "The State" - I have travelled round the globe many times and like and respect the vast majority of foreign people but I now regard the Brits as the "Bleeding Heart Society" What ever happened to the "Stiff Upper Lip"

Over the years I have had a few good surprises on dividends - because I do a lot of day trading and have no great interest in dividends I do not track them - sometime I find a surprise payment quite late into my trading account from shares I sold but was holding at the correct time to get the divi.

I once asked a broker about income tax burdens and he told me the following illustrative story --

10 friends who had all been at school together were in the habit of meeting up for drinks on a Friday night - the drinks bill came to £100

The richest man said " As I am well off I will pay £40 of the bill"
The next 2 down said "I will pay £20"
The next 4 down said "I will pay £5"
The remaining 3 said "We are on benefits and have no spare cash but you rich guys are paying all the bill so that is fine !"

A new landlord took over the pub and said "As you guys are regulars I will give you £10 rebate on your bill
Pro rate this gave the richest man back £4 the next two £2 the next four fifty P and the others nothing

A fight broke out over the different rebates and the richest man was beaten up and left the pub. Next week there were only 9 and the landlord said who now will pay the bill?

Labour has previously won a GE on the old Communist promise to rob the rich and pay the poor but has ended up bankrupting the country - I remember Dennis Healey saying "I am going to tax the rich till their pips squeak" Soon after he had to go to the IMF for an emergency loan !!!

SEAC - did you see my reply to the question are you also SEAC ? Was I right - were you in the military hence the SEAC name or just a coincidence ?

Years back I was SAGE then left the market and when I came back in someone had pinched SAGE so I registered as SEER but have never been SEAC - when I was flying supply drops in the RAG a SEAC pack was a South East Asia Container pack so I suspect SEAC is also ex RAF - may account for the similar views

Need to watch the Halifax traders carefully - earlier on this year I bought into a penny share which had dropped 30% and was careless checking the sale price - silly boy Pike - HFX charged me the full SP prior to the crash - I later sold at a 15% loss - cost me £2K

Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware) is a good rule to follow

I do not think that the new shares have hit the market yet so no dilution till the huge tranche of new shares are being traded

Bad news - TCG slated again today in the Daily Torygraph business pages - also - O'Leary asked if he would buy TCG air - reply "It's a dog - old aircraft all on lease !" Is that a NO ?

Unless the BOD takes very urgent action this week i can see TCG shares suspended and the BOD going for a CVA which makes the shares worthless and gives TCG to the creditors to dispose of - I think we are now too far down the slippery slope for a "do nothing" recovery.

Also of note is the disaster hitting Financial companies who have bought many "falling knives" in the last year and almost all have failed to bounce back !

The top 1% rich people in the UK pay more than 25% of the total income tax for the country - they also pay - like the rest of us - indirect taxation such as VAT etc and depending on their property etc this contributes 30% tax take so it is a fallacy that the rich get away with paying little or no tax while the bottom 20% are heavily burdened to keep the rich in luxury. they also give lots to charity !

Try telling that to communist Corbyn and his lying Shadow Chancellor !
