MMs are waiting for the Yanks to open before moving our SP up or down further. PMO does seem to do better later in the day - perhaps it is staffed by Uni graduates who need lots of morning sleep - I once was told by a Uni lad that he had actually slept for 26 hrs after a big night out !

Hopefully our SP will rise like a phoenix from the ashes in the next few days !

members - very good points ! The elephant in the room as we all know is the massive debt pile the BOD has built up mainly due to Sea Lion and Solan investment. Short term the BOD should sell off Sea Lion and Solan and concentrate on paying down debt and bringing Tolmount and Zama on line producing gas and oil. As I said a long time ago 2022 will be a great year for PMO - if we survive WW3 But can we all wait that long for a massive SP rise ?

WORLD WAR - Mr Xi of China has just declared that he intends to take back Taiwan - even if it means using military force - If China attacks Taiwan the USA will go to war with China - the US has supplied the latest military hardware to Taiwan and it is capable of defeating a Chinese invasion - Xi should remember that when China invaded Vietnam 50 years ago they were comprehensively defeated by the battle hardened North Vietnamese fighting for their freedom and independence. WW3 could well be on the cards !!!

But will that send our SP up or down ? LOL

PMO SP on Friday and Monday delivered an 18% rise - for no apparent major reason. If we get excellent news in a RNS this month the SP will rise sharply - or if the POO goes up significantly. I think POO is a zombie at the mo with the Far East markets crashing 20% or more in 2018 and even the EU markets down by 12% to 15%. The Euro zone is now forecast to fall apart in 2019 and we will be in another major recession if not a world wide Depression caused by Trump and dithering May. Hopefully May will be sacked this month and the puppet glove MPs will vote to cancel Article 50 pro tem - pending another review of where we are going in our politics and economy. Politics of the mad house is to give £14M to a ferry firm that has no ferries ! And we now have ministers for loneliness - old age - the high streets - what next ? A Ministry for Funny Walks ? - pace Monty Python.

My wish list for 2019 - 1. Sell off Sea Lion and pay down debt - PMO will NEVER be able to raise the mega cash to develop Sea Lion and at $45 per barrel to produce it cannot compete with Saudi oil at $5 or USA shale at $20 to $45 - produced in a benign environment. 2. Consider selling off Solan - with the huge BP Clair field next door BP might give a good price for Solan - presently pumping about 5K bopd. 3. Stop buying any more assets that PMO cannot afford - even if lenders are prepared to lend more - doubtful !!! 4. Publish early RNSs on Zama progress - boost the SP 5. Do NOT go for a Rights issue to pay down debt - at these low SPs the RI would torpedo the present SP. 5. Do not invest any more cash in any project except Tolmount and Zama.

If all these plans are followed we will be back up where we belong by mid 2019 IMO

TR61 - Quien Sabe Senor ? Who knows - factors are 1. With the drop in POO it is unlikely that the BOD will achieve its big debt payoff 2. The loose cannon Trump is still rolling round the world creating chaos - but from 1 Jan he will no longer control the lower House so we may get some relief 3 Our useless PM continues to dither and put off any decent decisions about the UK future 4 The worst outcome on May's plan is if the cowardly MPs vote for their jobs and pass the bill - we will be a slave nation and cash cow for the EU Commissars for ever - till the rotten EU collapses 5 Lots of businesses are now holding back from investing in UK till after April 2019 - lots more relocating to EU locations

All in all - anything could happen in 2019 - but as we are starting from a low SP I think PMO will recover well in late 2019

Hopefully 2019 will see an excellent recovery from these really low SPs - just as it did from Jan 2009 to Jan 2010. One of the great stars then was BARCLAYS bank which- went from 50p to 250p - not a bad rise for one year - beats my wife's safe returns of 2% per annum LOL

matlot - agree your points - I am day trading when the SP drops back to 55p ish and gradually making back a £2K loss this year on PMO. major world problems coming with US QE ended and EU QE ended - so no more unlimited cheap money for the world. BREXIT problems looming large as the unelected political dictators in Brussels see that they have pushed the UK too far with their threats and bullying and humiliation of the PM etc. They are panicking now that they may lose our E45 billion ransom payment and the other EU countries are not willing to fill the gap in EU cash flow !

January will be roller coaster time on world SM as Trumpington continues his shut down of millions of US citizens income - the crazy dictator wants $5 billion for his wall but the US economy is losing $1.5 billion each week of shutdown so 3 weeks would pay for the wall cost !

We live in a world that is now a lunatic asylum run by its inmates

Anyone's guess on company SPs in January is just as likely to be right as the "experts" view !

The "Sage of Omaha" Warren Buffet "A" shares are down 20% on their recent peak - as they were $330000 EACH that makes a loss of $66000 on each share - makes any share loss on PMO look small - LOL

Too hot for me - just got my stake money back and will watch from the sidelines now - unless the SP plunges down 6% again when I will day trade. I think the II who bought all those shares at 360p is now dumping them at about 400p - mega selling today and probably more to come until all those cheap shares have gone. I had been doing quite well out of day trading KIE but I think I will hit "pause" for a bit until we see the end year RNS - cash in the bank from the Rights issue and a global improvement in SMs - most of the EU SMs are well down today so it is not just UK suffering !

RB - agree your comments - possible takeover bid pitched at 600p - good for shareholders and the company - net debt very low after the Rights money is paid in at end of December - note in the RNS "Rights cash to be included in end year report" - should give the SP a boost in early January. perusing the financial report it would seem that all is OK across the board but lenders getting cold feet on over exposure of lending. End of QE cheap cash in both US and EU in December and Trump's rantings are upsetting world markets - by end January we should have closure on BREXIT plans and bully Trump will have his £5 billion to build his Humpty Dumpty wall.

Tokyo down 5% on Xmas Day but up about 1% today. I will look at buying KIE tomorrow AM - a 63% fall in SP over the month looks like a bargain - SP seems to be stabilised about 400p. Divs incredibly good - 23p and 46p - total year 69p - if only the BOD can hold the div next year ! Cutting or passing divs is not a good sign for market SP. The RNS says 2019 div covered 5 times so we shall see !

There are 3 major bumps in the road - 1 The end of cheap money - QE in the USA 2. The end of cheap money in the EU - QE - 3 The January vote on May's plan to keep us in the EU as a slave state and cash cow with no power to ever leave and no say in punitive laws made in Brussels to cripple our economy.

I am all in cash at the mo as I can see a situation developing like January 2009 when there was a major SM crash world wide and RBS SP hit 10p (now 100p since consolidation) LLOY hit about 45p and BARC hit 50p

In the worst case this will happen again after the EU leaders conference on 21 January.

If however our spineless MPs vote against Traitor May and we then cancel Article 50 to give us time for a General Election or a late deal offered by a frightened EU then the UK market will recover.

After two very painful years listening to Traitor May whingeing and dithering and behaving like a drunken schoolgirl - our worst PM EVER - I hope to see and end to all this chaos by end March - one way or the other
