SP drop

applegarth - we all have to take responsibility for our actions in this life - I have been investing in shares for 50 years now and have made some really good profits on lots of shares but great losses on things like oil shares when they hit a duster - MM mark down instantly 20% +++ - over the years I am about even so no worries. My wife has always had the "safe" money - donated by me ! We agreed that I could gamble with my spare cash as soon as i handed over her monthly allowance - presently £1200 per month - tax free for her !!! This year I am just breaking even - sold out of PMO at 125p - it is now down to about 65p - I stayed out of the market from June till December and I am now just day trading single companies - i sold out of TCG at break even 27p today as I am not sure which way this SP is going - I will wait until it is well established on an upward line before buying again.

so what is causing the meltdown in SPs world wide ? Certainly not BREXIT

If the MMs keep plunging the SP down at this rate by Xmas there will be no one willing to buy TCG shares so the brokers will not be making their daily profits !

TCG 82% down this year - should be a good buyin price but the MMs seem determined to get it back down to 22p or less ! I took the plunge today at 27p for £13600 so fingers crossed that we get a little Xmas bounce soon

jessell - which democracy are you talking about - I was one of 4 million UKIP voters who got just ONE MP while just over one million SNP voters got about 60 MPs - Democracy - I think not ! The UK is a political dictatorship as bad as the other EU countries

It is very clear now that we have run out of time on the BREXIT results - there is no time now for another Referendum - no time for removing the May roadblock to any fair result and we cannot deal with a EU President who is dead drunk all day - kissing men and women and ruffling their hair while the EU is on fire and damage being done daily to EU markets and companies. The only sensible course of action now is to stop the political banal rows and for MPs to vote to delay Article 50 by 2 years to give us time to sort out the mess that Cameron and May have made of the country. We have NOT left the EU yet and we have until March 2019 to rescind Article 50 and return to the "status quo ante" of 2016. Remainers would be happy for further access to the full EU and Leavers would be happy that Article 50 was still on the table should a new govt need it in further talks with the EU leaders. Of note - the populations of 20 EU countries are 11 million or less to UK 66 million and tin pot little countries of half a million like Malta Cyprus and LUX take a turn as president over 520 million EU citizens - Truly the Mouse That Roared !!!!

Regards all - 3 more months of dithering and markets may well bounce back upwards.

BB et al - entirely agree with your comments and will add "British tourists spend £45 billion each year on foreign holidays - mostly to EU countries - that money could be better spent in the UK to help the poor and needy - 14 million people living below the poverty line is a disgrace to the UK. We could also spend £10 billion fixing our potholed roads ! Not to mention the extra cash for the NHS.

Next week will - once again - be volatile and SPs will depend on politics rather than company fundamentals - we may see a vote of "No Confidence" raised by the opposition parties in the HP win the vote - we may see a cancellation of Article 50 -"because the time is not right at the mo" -I think we will now remain in the EU by default or by deliberate votes of the politicos.

If you are making profits in the SM at the mo you are just lucky IMO

I am now 100% in cash till the BREXIT pantomime is over - next April ????

I think that until the chaos of Mrs May's lack of government has cleared away - probably April 2019 it is anyone's guess as to whether company SPs will go up down or sideways - if you are lucky you can make some good money day trading but it is now a major gamble IMO

SP rising towards 30p

Volatile !

We cannot just twiddle our thumbs till 21 January just to keep Quisling May in power - Corbyn must put a "No Confidence" motion in place next week to kick the glove puppet Tories into action - May would be toppled and possibly Raab take over - he could then go back to the EU Commisars and demand an increased rebate on our £10 billion net EU annual bill to take the battle back to the 27 remaining states. The EU will be damaged just as much by a hard BREXIT as the UK so lets fight back hard and not accept May's delaying tactics

Market Mafia beating us up today - 13% up to 2% up - so far - I thought I had missed the boat this AM after walking the dog - I decided 33p was too rich for me to buy in - I am now in at 30.22p - so I am hoping tomorrow the SP will recover again - looking at the large number of buys I do not see why the MM have marked us down so much today !

jaffas - a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush - I have been lucky to bail out of TCG before each SP crash so I will wait this one out. GL to all who hold and make more profits !

DBNO - maybe not - remember yesterday from 5% up to 5% down in minutes in the afternoon. The market mafia are playing this SP like a hooked pike !! i pulled out at 27.3p
