Looks like few people are buying for the 15.16p dividend. It will go ex next Thursday. Let's hope that the sp will hold after that. At least won't drop more than the dividend. GLA

But seems that no one is listening though. So far there're 14 trades only. Of which, 6 buys and 8 sells. Lol

If you have bought today at the closing price then you are 6.1p worse off than buying the share yesterday. Because today is the ex-dividend day. The dividend is 20.7p. if the sp drops more than 20.7p then you are better off but it has only dropped 14.6p. Therefore you are 6.1p worse off than buying the share yesterday.

Ex-dividend date: July 6
Pay day: July 21

....also, the next dividend will be only 13.93p, not 18.097p.

Tax year is from Apr 6 to the following year Apr 5. So, you report the total dividend you have received within this period in your tax return. Hope that this will help.

Topped up this morning and brought my average down to just under £1 (98.84p to be exact). It has been dropping for long enough. Should be about time for it to bounce back. In fact, it has just turned green. It's the first time to see it green since last week. Lol

I am not so sure about that, Paradisewanted. I have just checked the past 5 years financial results and Ocado has made losses in all 5 years. Last year's losses were double of 2021's. How can a company survive when it keeps making losses year after year? The cash pile will run out eventually, wouldn't it? Unless they keep doing fund raising, lol.

Someone just sold for £18.75! Probably got about £5 after commission and charges. Why not let it be and wait for it to recover or wait for the rest of the dividend, lol?

No. this is as clear as mud. I couldn't find the dividend declaration RNS on here either. It did mention about this 185p total return to shareholders in the latest RNS though.

Me too, I also topped up. If the dividend will be maintained every year then the yield will be almost 15% at this price. Also the sp is now at all time low. The chance of going up should be higher than going down, lol.
