Don’t worry, we were hopefully just taking a breather, nothing goes up in a straight line, but now the BNP in their new updated website have emphasised the following about using the country’s mineral reserves to reduce imports if they win, and that it’s expected that the BNP will win the election by a landslide, we will probably be on our way again soon 😉

Ripley94, this is now a totally different share and we are in a totally different place to where we were last year!

With the elections hopefully taking place in February, if not before, (imo) then we are only going to grow, especially as we get closer and closer to the elections and the news flow continues……

The last time this happened and we thought we were going to get the green light, the SP reached £9.00 area, at that time we only had about 50 million shares in issues, and the company was structured differently, but we now have the Power China MoU’s the proposed Solar plant etc etc

This imho, is not stopping at 10p this time around …

NCP stumbles in EC scrutiny despite 43,000 pages of documents

In a bid to secure registration with Bangladesh’s Election Commission (EC), the National Citizen Party (NCP) delivered a staggering 43,316 pages of documents to the Nirbachan Bhaban by truck.

Prof Ali Riaz asks political parties to reach consensus on unsettled issues

National Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz on Tuesday urged the political parties to reach consensus on unresolved issues soon.

"Some issues were agreed on at the initial stage of talks with the political parties, and some were agreed at the second stage of discussions. Decisions on all the issues, on which there are still differences of opinion, should be taken in a short time," he said.

Prof Ali Riaz requested the political parties to feel their responsibility in taking decisions to this end.

The key problem in Bangladesh’s energy and power sector today is ensuring a sustainable supply of primary fuel. A substantial reserve of high-quality coal remains buried at mineable depths. Off-the-shelf, appropriate technology for mining is readily available. Yet, successive governments since the late 1990s have failed to make the necessary political decision to begin coal mining. The lone operating mine at Barapukuria is struggling for survival. For reasons best known to bureaucrat-dominated policymakers, exploration and development of petroleum resources have remained far below minimum levels.

The incumbent government must conduct thorough planning to meet the challenges of primary fuel supply in a professional, pragmatic manner. Top priorities must include exploration of discovered coal resources, evacuation of stranded gas to the national grid at Khulna, accredited reserve assessment at Bhola, immediate exploration at Chhatak, Tengratilla, and greater CHT.

Bangladesh’s political parties on Sunday reached a consensus on two more important reform proposals -- the promulgation of emergency and the appointment of Chief Justice.

“The political parties today in principle agreed on two important issues…we, the National Consensus Commission, think of these as a big progress (in building consensus on state reform),” said Commission’s Vice Chair Prof Ali Riaz at a press briefing in the afternoon.

BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan has said that no more justification will be accepted to defer elections in the name of justice and reform as the party’s main demand in the current political context is to ensure people’s right to vote through a free and fair election.

“BNP will no longer accept the logic of ‘first justice and reform, then elections’,” he said.

Holding early general election demanded

Politicians, academics,and professionals on Saturday at a seminar in Dhaka called on the interim government headed by Professor Muhammad Yunus to hold the next general elections as early as possible for a democratic transition of the country.

The Bangladesh Jasod organised the seminar at the National Press Club titled ‘unfulfilled national aspirations and the July uprising, which was chaired by its president Sharif Nurul Ambia.

Journalist Abu Sayeed Khan called on the left-leaning political parties to unite to wage movements so that the interim government was compelled to give the election.
