GCM Research and Share Price Triggers!12 Oct 2025 07:53
I actually wrote this last night to post this morning, but after digits excellent find last night, it hardly seems worth posting, but it mat help others looking in, so decided to still post it with a slight amendment….
💥 First SP Trigger – BNP state that……..
He also suggested that Bangladesh's high-quality coal reserves could be tapped using modern technology to meet energy needs while minimising environmental harm.

I know that we are just repeating ourselves, but for anyone looking in, it looks like November and December are going to be quite interesting months, with so many potential SP trigger points!
• Energy Roadmap, due any time between now and December. We already know that Fouzul Kabir Khan the energy adviser for the Interim Government, has recommended that mining own coal / Phulbari OPM, should be advised for the incoming government, and that he was preparing papers in the background so that a quick decision could be made after the elections. That is if Yunus has not already made the decision before he departs, so that he leaves a positive legacy, rather than what he will be remembered for at the moment.
• Political party’s manifestos should start to be discussed in more detail, we know that the BNP should win with a landslide, but either way, both the BNP and the Jamaat party, have said in their manifestos that own minerals / coal should be used.
• BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman is expected to return to Bangladesh in mid-November after 17 years of exile, that is going to be some homecoming, and he will start to make lots of promises of how he is going to repair Bangladesh should the BNP win the election.
• GCM, Final Results due mid-November, you would like to think that within this report there will be a positive project update.
• PowerChina to renew their MOU for the “Phulbari Coal Mine Development” this may also state further updates within their agreement.
• GCM, AGM, should be mid-December, this year in particular you would like to think there will be positive feedback.
• Teesta River Project which is believed to be connected to Phulbari, and its overburden, being given the green light and expected to start work in January 2026.
Then there will be the continued general media reports where hopefully the shout for own coal will get louder. I was thinking this morning, in all the years that I have been invested in GCM, I can honestly say this is the first year where coal and Phulbari OPM has been discussed and mentioned in a positive way so many times, without any opposition or protest groups expressing negative views, even Anu Muhammad, who would normally be the first to stand up and protest, said earlier in the year that he did not agree with own coal being used, but because of previous government policy’s, the country now has little choice…
Anyway, I hope t
