Not long now, and with all this extra promotion being done for Phulbari open put mining, I’d be very surprised if not only using own coal was highlighted in the roadmap, but Phulbari as well …

Someone is making sure that this project is getting some very positive press at the moment ….

Another nice find digit, I know I’m repeating myself again lol, but it almost seems daily thing now where there is either a positive article / video about either Phulbari OPM, or about how clean coal is generally these days with the new technology, and the important fact so far is that it’s all positive, I can’t remember the last time I saw someone stand up and say Phulbari should not be mined …..

Army to extend full support to govt, EC during election: General Waker

Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman today said the army will extend full cooperation to the government and the Election Commission (EC) in the upcoming national election.

"We are heading towards an election, and in that election we will, In sha Allah, properly cooperate with the government and cooperate with the Election Commission so that we can have a good election," he said.

Bangladesh raises gas price for fertiliser factories by 83 per cent

Bangladesh has increased the price of gas supplied to fertiliser factories by 83 percent per cubic metre.

In a statement on Sunday, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) said that the price per cubic metre would rise from Tk 16 to Tk 29.25.

The new rate will take effect on Dec 1.

bangladesh’s only operational coal mine at barapukuria is now passing through one of its worst crises in years, with extraction continuing under contractual obligation but the adjacent coal-fired power plant almost entirely shut. this mismatch between production and offtake has pushed coal stockpiles to levels far beyond the mine’s safe storage capacity, raising fears of landslides, spontaneous combustion, and a potential shutdown that could deepen the country’s existing energy instability.

despite bangladesh possessing five discovered coalfields-barapukuria, phulbari, khalashpir, dighipara, and jamalganj-only barapukuria has been in commercial production for decades. its output has historically been used almost entirely by the nearby 525mw barapukuria thermal power plant. this system worked efficiently when the power plant ran at stable capacity, but since two of the three generating units have been idle for months and the remaining one operates on and off, the mine is now producing coal that has nowhere to go.

Govt sends letter to EC requesting referendum, polls on same day

The government has formally sent a letter to the Election Commission (EC) requesting that the 13th Parliamentary Election and the national referendum be held on the same day.

The letter instructed the EC to arrange the referendum on the same day as the election and to prepare for organising the referendum accordingly. EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed informed the media of this development on Saturday.

Or of course, all eyes on the Energy Master plan, due any time between now and December, which should announce that the new incoming government should use own coal, and specifically Phulbari opm, or the renewal of the PowerChina MoU, for their contract, due in December, or anything that may come out of the AGM, and then what comes out in the general press between now and February.....

So i'd say that there is going to still be lots happening between now and February......

Reading the RNS in more detail, it’s also interesting to read that if Polo do not manage to get reinstated, then if I am reading it correctly, their loan will be dissolved ……

So when we were stating earlier in the year that we had enough cash to last until June / July 2926, I was correct, maybe WOO, would now like to come back and apologise for all the scaremongering that he was doing, post after post…..
