Jeez, this is DRILLING. SH IT happens, and they are mitigating it but that takes time. Does that alter the geology?

Search on google and it explains it well. In effect, they drill but not in straight lines.

They can deviate from a certain point and curve the drilling a bit. It’s quite a common thingI feel.

I am taking it as positive, in terms of the additional HE shows.

It’s drilling and there can be issues - the fact that it’s a recognised driller in Mitchell goes to show that these problems can occur. As they are only at 561m means we’re at least another 2 weeks away from a discovery here.

I guess some people will panic, but I’ll be sitting tight.

Yes, I get that AIM is risky and I’m used to wild swings on some of my holdings, so that doesn’t phase me. Just watching the “Meet The Investors” presentation from March and the scale of the resources seem amazing.

Even if there is some “Pump&Dump”, if the fundamentals are there, then in the long run the SP will eventually reflect the value.

I’ll be looking at get onboard I think here as the Mcap seems incredibly low.

I saw a recommendation for Rockfire on a Telegram board and have read a little about them and the potential seems astounding. Even just reading recent posts on here, the enthusiasm is clear.

When I look at the share price history, I can see it’s spiked and dropped a couple of times over roughly the last 3 years, and on the Telegram board, someone else commented they thought it had been a “pump & dump” in the past.

I get that we all need to DYOR, but I was wondering if long-term holders had any views as to the cause of the spikes/drops?

Actually, I am honestly not bothered as to what the SP does after discovery. By this I mean short-term (that day/week/month). If course it won’t go down, but what it will do is re-risk our investments here.

The SP will rise over time as other wells are drilled and appraisals are done. If this spikes to 30p, 50p or 80p, as nice as that is, in the timescales of the big returns, it’s not that important.

Of course, if you are looking for a quick win, then that’s different, and we all do want we’re comfortable with.

I was originally thinking Monday 12th (after the delay to the 400m wireline), but I am now thinking it may be even later than that. I still think it is likely sometime next week, but would not be surprised if it's later now.

However, it's so close now we can almost taste it. Just hope it doesn't leave a nasty taste once we get it ;)

Price dropping close to 30p (my avg is 33.94), but I’ll also be looking to accumulate more here when I rotate out of others.
This is a long-term play for me - I think the BFS will make more people aware of what the potential is here. Not just the scale of the reserves, but also the low cost of production.
Yeah, yeah, I hear the BMN boys and that there is no mine yet. That’s not why we’re investing here - we’re investing because this is a huge long-term project with amazing fundamentals.

Thanks for the replies guys. It will take as long as they need it to. As ST points out, we’ve been invested here for quite some time, so another x days is not really material.

Also, as the senior guys have options linked to an on-time drilling program, I assume that they will be keen to get these complete asap.

ST/DBD/DAI

We started drilling on 12th June and reached 400m on 30th (I believe). The first part was very slow getting through the top layer which is more unstable, however that is still 18 days to get to roughly 400m depth.
The remainder was roughly 800m, but by now they were working 24 hours/day. Assume maybe 70m/day, that would take another 12 days (ish), and the wireline would still need doing and then the results analysing.
My initial thoughts, after the wireline was not performed at 400m, was that we would get an RNS for Mon 12th. If we are only doing the 70m/day then that's likely to slip.
Am I missing something?

From what I've read they want to act like Metal Tiger, i.e. take stakes in numerous companies, but not do any exploration/production for themselves.

I'd prefer not to pay a fee to someone else to manage my investments which is what is appears to be IMO. Others may prefer the spread exposure to multiple companies and I get that.

I'm in at 1.8 avg, so roughly evens at the moment. Hopefully the steady stream of announcements will allow us to get into the 2p+ range and stabilise there.

Also got the tip from @dbd too. Got in with avg of 2.23 and so far it's going well. View seems to be positive with other projects to be announced in 2021 as well.
