Given the carnage out there I reckon there’s little to complain about here. So many solid companies having the guts ripped out of their valuation. The majority will bounce back no doubt and when they do it will be interesting to see how the H2 area gets revalued? For sure there will be much less money ploughed into the fossil outfits.

Throwing in my 2p for what it’s worth ( 2p I guess ) , the fluctuations in oil price may prove to it’s downfall. How can you plan effectively , how can you make investment cases? In the past there was no real alternative , the goal posts have and are still moving. I think Chilts is right though , these low prices will be temporary but are so severe and may well hang around long enough to knock out a lot of shalers and maybe some bigger concerns.

Dow up 9% should make Monday interesting? Can’t help feeling there’s plenty more peaks and troughs to come. Felt a lot better today after a little stabilisation but wouldn’t want to be in airline or holiday stocks. GWA

Surprisingly stable really , no different to the FTSE. People don’t want to be out , people want to get in. Bound to keep swinging but doesn’t seem as wild as a few weeks ago. Could be like this for a while.

Short and long term TM if that makes sense. Just playing with my ISA shares or part of. Not touching my trading account. I try to keep some cash available in the ISA then I can buy or sell according to which way it’s moving. Often buy and sell the same swathe within a day as it moves so much. Generally play with 20k to 50k shares , have to play them in 10k’s generally to get the best price. Up each day this week but moves have been smaller. Still £7k up which is not to be sniffed at.... mind you , if I look at my other shares...... best not to really. Expecting to purchase a few tomorrow a.m. but where the bottom will be , who knows? Ps. Not a fan of hydraulic brakes. Hard to adjust , easy to screw up. Tend to stick to my road bike these days , road or rollers.

Bumpy ride expected tomorrow. Can’t imagine ITM can escape as it has done over the last week or so. That said , better here than Boeing! Ride the storm guys , it WILL blow over. May go fishing or for a very long cycle ride..... GLA

Weirdly now it gets tricky OB. Whilst the price is yoyoing you can take a good guess where it’s about to go. As the news/market improves (today) it really is a guess. I’ve been buying and selling successfully with my ISA held shares , sold half last thing yesterday for a small profit and have sold 30k this morning for a much better profit. As I breathe I don’t know what to expect now. In the long run it’s a hold for sure , in the short term is it better to hold cash? Hmmmm.... Good luck whatever.

Makes you wonder where this will end up when the market turns ( as it surely will )? This is keeping my portfolio well and truly afloat but I’m really not enjoying the rout , this is pretty serious business for some.

Well done Mucker , god knows it’s hard to be out of this one. I honestly can’t remember when a share has demonstrated so many rapid ups and downs. Really odd. I have found myself taking advantage , or attempting to , and this is after being a LTH since 2004 or so. Nice to make a few quid but ultimately it’s more satisfying to see the 16 years of faith bearing fruit. Great company to feel part of.

Yee haaaa. Just had one round. Apparently boiler has to be replaced as the seal is discontinued. Make do and mend? Modify a similar seal? Not a chance in Tombstone.

Never thought I would but have bailed on my ISA holding today. Things are just too weird at the moment , no one really knows where this bug thing will take us. Still hold a fair few in my trading account , they’re going nowhere as I don’t need the CGT. If we get another major dive then the ISA move will be reversed. No medium term worries here.

Wild ups and downs on very little volume. For sure it's being played as we commented on the way down. Not really sure this should be allowed but what can yo do? That said IMO it deserves to be up here and in a few years time ( or less ) this could be historic small beer.

Impossible to get it absolutely right and god knows I’m no expert. My approach is if it feels too good to be true sell some , inevitably it will drop and you may decide to buy them back. Cost base reduced. Conversely if you feel like jumping off a cliff , buy some. Inevitably it will bounce back. Quick profit. Fortunately ITM is conforming to Newton’s unpublished 28th and 29th laws: What goes up must come down , and what goes down really wants to go back up. And quickish too. GLA

We know it’s a rollercoaster. Better than Alton Towers. Sell high , buy low and repeat. You only need to involve say 20k shares. Ultimately though , the only way is up (baby......)
