13thM. That’s the point I’ve tried to make. If we can achieve an over capacity of renewables , if we can build in a back up of H2 storage , in effect we waste nothing and the ideal is reached. No doubt the numbers ( as tackled by Bilbs et al ) seem a bit daunting but to my mind only a bit. A lot of people , amongst them a senior Diesel engine expert of my acquaintance , have been surprised how much renewables have been able to contribute. Let’s face it , their availability is in effect limitless. On a side issue , I wonder , if the gas network ends up containing a reasonable proportion of H2 as per the current trial , how useful could that be to say the nations transport system. Probably a daft suggestion ( pressure/extraction issues?) but I’ll throw it in anyway....
