Well done Tennents , 10/10. Have to say I was losing the will to live reading yesterdays dross.

Remember catching a stack load as a youngster near Torbay. We were staying in an apartment block , self catering. Put platefuls , gutted , in the lobby. They all disappeared to be replaced by the smell of grilling mackerel purveying throughout the whole building that evening. Not everyone’s favourite , but if they’d seen them cleaned and from memory gutted in one of the communal baths they’d have thought even less. Happy days.

It’s been a bit of a ****SHOW Forest and an expensive school day. I asked beforehand what the MSCI effect would be , in volume terms and effect on SP. TBH I didn’t get much back other than it’s all priced in and/or AI stating there would be a bit of an up and subsequently a bit of a down. I think it’s safe to say ‘understatement or what’. We will learn from it and let’s face it , we really need to and pronto. The FTSE GEIS Europe listing , pointed out by Justin via Eastwood looks to be even larger. After last week our inclusion ( 1st opportunity decided end of June ) looks a bit less likely , of course a decent RNS would change that. As Digi has pointed out the wind up period is longer , circa 3 months I believe. I’m sure we can expect a positive effect on SP overall but we on here , particularly the more knowledgeable , might be best to focus on tactics and safeguards to minimise any post inclusion headaches. It will go ahead at some point hopefully. We will definitely have to move to the main market which has pros and cons , one being IHT funds currently invested will be forced to offload and drop out. Let’s make sure at least we’re prepared , I appreciate nothing is for certain but you never know it could be a major top and tail opportunity or profit lock in time. Any thoughts/corrections welcome.

Equally, people are deluded on here if they think GF is fish based or has influence of any kind whatsoever. He’s just a carp investor with a pretty shocking investing record for which he can only blame himself. Those claiming he is Tuna forget that that fish was actually pretty clever ( no offence ) though some of us called him out early doors. Unfortunately GF is not only frustrated by his lack of savvy , he is smothered in what he sees as tomorrow’s jam AND sitting on an ants nest. This makes him both tetchy and highly impatient. Meanwhile , today’s news whilst excellent is actually more jam tomorrow. First production , assuming FID is over 30 months away , on the surface the numbers are small. Where I would strongly disagree with GF is his jam opinion. There’s no problem with it stacking up , tomorrow will always come , every 24 hours without fail. As some of the more experienced constantly remind us ITM is fantastically positioned it’s just a continuing question of time. GF , if I were you I’d sit tight , buy more , whatever , but please keep it to yourself. Let’s focus where we need to.

GF needs investing guidance / hand holding not castigation. That guidance may ultimately be don’t invest. Fishy he most definitely is not. Removal from board is not justified. It’s not long ago many on here were accusing Justin of being a fake.

Thanks Digi, should have read things more thoroughly, just picked up on the wrong explanation. Interesting though , some big swings in SP , so just trying to get a handle on whether it will happen again. No doubt that in trying to pre-fill for execution day there will be a positive effect on SP but whether a drop is probable , as yesterday , is now a doubt in my mind. I guess the pre-fill rise % will be a factor. Meanwhile , I wonder if any FID type RNS’s will come through soon. That would make the GEIS entry almost a shoe in?

Sorry StayingPatient but Mom5 interpreted up 27% on the week as I did. Doesn’t matter , an up is up! This method of the MM’s agreeing a buy in price at a specific future moment in time (if correct ) is intriguing. Definitely manipulation , weirdly necessary perhaps in order to put some kind of control on things. The fact the funds cannot buy in prior to inclusion date ( at least officially and again , if correct ) means the UT games of yesterday are very likely to repeat. Imagine a positive RNS landing between the inclusion notification date and the UT date , what would happen then? What happens if the MM’s can’t honour the agreed price? Interesting scenario. Whatever , if it looks like the GEIS entry is becoming likely I’ll definitely be looking at some top and tailing. If anyone can kick this into touch or at least clarify things , much appreciated.

I’d be very interested if anyone can clarify the procedure , including dates and requirements , for entry into the FTSE GEIS Europe Index. I’m struggling. It seems the way the MSCI entry was handled in order to prevent a meltdown essentially was still quite clumsy , probably necessarily so. In my tiny head it threw up some opportunities to trade and lower one’s average? Hopefully yesterday can be used as a School Day. Appreciate other things are at play etc. but personally I’d like to feel prepared at least. Bearing in mind Justin indicated the fund purchases could be as much as 40% larger it seems even more important. Ps. @StayingPatient , the SP rose circa 14% last week not 27%. That might be next week…..

Thank you Hedge101 and StayingPatient. Shame no one came up with this procedural stuff when some of us were asking a week or so ago. Might have prevented a few kittens being born today. No doubt I will be corrected , which is fine , but the upshot of all this is is the Index announcement , 12th May , saw a deal struck and a nett 30p rise or so in the SP including the UT deal drop today. In my book that’s pretty good. It also suggests to me , assuming the GEIS happens ( SP of 221p reqd by end June) , and the procedure is similar that we could see an even bigger nett increase for that one as the fund volumes are at least double ( from memory). Hope to be better prepared anyway.

Is the GEIS one in Euros Eastwood? If yes , equates to an SP circa £2.21. Not far off , a doddle for end of June? An FID would help. Justin? Could be a profit taking afternoon but that kind of consolidation has to be expected. Good weekend all.
