Unlike most of the “ponies” I’ve put my money on down the years at least ITM appears to have a leg in each corner. As to future prospects , who really knows? Maybe Shell , JCB , Linde etc. ?Personally , whilst I hope it doesn’t happen yet , if at all , the likes of Shell will most likely be viewing the world differently now and ITM could well be on their new dawn shopping/fix list. The prospect of prospecting for the black stuff must be seriously diminished when you are relying on a price which has been shown can drop to below zero. Let’s face it , the FF tanker was already holed and Covid has now torpedoed it.

Thanks TM , managed to get a little nap in by the time I finished your post..... only joking! I could run you through my trades but you definitely wouldn’t be awake by the end. Suffice to say I now hold about a third of what I used to. It concerned me to have maybe 70% of value in one holding after the rapid rise last year. I still hold a reasonable wack and like you I will hold on for the future. I have traded on 20 to 50k shares during the yoyoing period and done really well. With the general rise and my trading luck my current holding is a free ride , indeed I’m in the negative quite substantially. That said my portfolio is now much wider and many of those are still under water. Just a matter of time though. There will be ups and downs as always but like you I reckon the upside for ITM will be exciting. I am not encouraging anyone to buy but I am glad that I made up my own mind not to sell when past doom mongers have climbed aboard. GLA

OB. It nearly did but I held back. It’s one thing telling you what to do and another also telling you what to discuss. I think the guys on this BB are in very little need of investment advice that adds up to the bleeding obvious. Personally I think our new normal will be a better place after this knee in the proverbials for FF’s. Their investment case rule book is in shreds.

P.S. Not even the most faithful ITM’er would describe it as a safe stock. Then again , take a look around and find me us one that is......

15Lives. Interesting opinion. ITM is on your radar for the future yet it’s a strong sell? Personally I think it’s held up pretty well considering. Where would you put your money out of interest?

Took a peek OB. Very interesting up to the point where my brain imploded and all I could sense was a steady stream of hot air whistling over my head. A bit early to say it’s a goer but ultimately if you can successfully construct a fuel tank based on this science and run a car off it..... Wow! “Game changer” wouldn’t really cover it. Costs seriously reduced and 500 to 1000 (?)miles on a tank?

Just re-read Trilobites summary. Interesting subject very well explained. One wonders how much a fuel tank could cost but what an exciting prospect if it works? Hate the term but could be a game changer..... I also wonder what range per tankful we could be looking at?

You always have to be careful OB. It’s worth putting your toe in the water first. With ITM , buying or selling , I’ve found smaller quantities may often give you a better price. Buying 20K in one lump , 2 x 10 , or 4 x 5 lots often involves 3 different prices ..... that’s with ii anyway. With a deal price of £3.99 each time it’s usually better to split. It tends to keep the price within bid/offer range unless things are moving really quickly.

Trading has been great for me over the last couple of months but I’ve only done it with a part of my holding. Tend to agree that things should settle a bit and the long term hold should take priority. Where we’ll end up in 3 years time? Somewhere in the £2 to £10 range or eaten by a bigger fish! Impossible one really.

Struggling a bit with this one myself but assuming it’s a bit like your lungs? That’s a bit more to do with absorption via an increased surface area though. The more I think about it the more it seems the volume is the volume at a constant pressure. Brain hurts now.....

CnC. You really are a sad one. Digging through past posts. My comments relate to buying and selling 20,000 shares or so , taking advantage of the ups and downs. I hold a lot more and have done virtually from day one. My faith is untouched. My worry at the time , over a month ago , was how serious the virus would get and although I didn’t point it out I was actually more concerned with the rest of my portfolio. Not that it’s your business. What others do is entirely up to them , what I write about my deliberations is just that , my deliberations. Meanwhile I’ve bought that extra 20k to be played with , and I may sell it later. Happy?

Edwina. You have a slightly indelicate way of putting things. CnC , you have the opposite. Personally I prefer rude to smug. Meanwhile everyone is entitled to their opinions and it is likely that we will all be wrong in some respects. It has bounced back as the faithful have predicted so I will stick with my medium term glass half full rather than take any notice of the short term doom and gloomers. God knows how much they’d have put in to Google or Apple in the early days.....

CnC. There are plenty of dodgy shares out there. No substance , constantly played by low life’s. One trick after another. This isn’t one of them as you well know. People , rightly or wrongly ( time will tell ) see this as the future. If they are right then 125p , 155p or whatever will prove to be peanuts paid for a small fortune. It’s a shame you didn’t point out at 20p that that was fair value , I wouldn’t be worrying where to invest my pretty considerable profits.
