I am sticking with my L&G due to being on a 10.8% dividend....how can I not?!
Although I have some from 2018 which are only on 7% dividend (only!) They're are in a sipp. Selling them as I have enough and need to take money out of sipp.
Have had a particular good run on bank of Georgia up 27% since April using money from legal and general taken out of sipp and moved to isa. The luck was with me. Big dividends to come if you look at past dividends and present profits. Yes , I think value via high dividends have a two year run in them.

Bought Smithson in March 2020. Was up 126% on 3% premium. Now up 48% on 12% discount and that's a recovery. Was only up 35% a couple of weeks ago.
Murray International (March 2020) is up 51% today. We are definitely in a value rotation. But inclined to think it may have bottomed out for UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust.

No, I don't think we are seeing the effects of buy backs. I think it's more to do with Bank of Georgia share price increase. I am up 22% on BOG since April the 6th.

Not sure why people don't give investment trusts a look in. All the ones I bought in the income income equity sector increased their dividends. Between .5% to 5% daring the crash and continue to do so. Not beating inflation but not falling either.

When you consider the value of the company 280 million and 20 million available for buybacks, I am surprised its taken this long.

Can't beat freetrade plus.
As long as you pay £9.99 a month offset by 3% interest on £4,000 and nowt for an isa. Nearly all shares available. Very limited shares available on normal freetrade. Limit orders available. £9.99 a month no matter which account you have for a sipp. Excellent as I want to move £20,000 a year into the isa.
Will switch my isa and general account to them.....as soon as they sort out there app. Its crap. Close down for no reason constantly.

Share account freetrade plus £9.99. Robbery on the face of it but 3% interest on £4,000 cash (£120 a year) and no charge for an isa.
£9,99 a month for sipp to expensive so leave that with Hargreaves Lansdown.

Mine is to sell the day before the exdivided setting a greedy price and buy back on exdivided day. Not to greedy though. In both cases I set the limit order price the day before.
You have to have a decent amount of shares for it to cover costs.
You take the difference as a capital gain or buy back more shares. In the case of legal and general I suspect it maybe better to let it drift for few days afterwards. If the buy back doesn't work then I buy back about 1pm.
You have to follow shares for a while to see what normally happens and of course see what the market is doing.
For some people on a high tax rate or just paying tax on dividends and not using there capital gains tax allowance this might be the way to go.
I used all the 15p gain (excluding costs high in my case) to buy back 4% more share.
As an aside final dividend for Murray International 19p. High sell price day before to low on exdivided day was 47p. I will keep an eye on the other 3 Dividends to see what happens. That 19p exdividend was on the 7th April perfect for buy back in an isa.

30% withholding withholding tax if you don't sign a w-8en.
15% if you do.
0% if your holdings are in a sipp.
Not all brokers can be bothered with w-8en.
Ask before buying.
Hargreaves Lansdown insisted on you signing one anyway.

Looks likely. The Probable dividend at this point will be to large for the market not to rerate it.

Most leases are, does it include Newrivers estate?
If so if inflation last say 2 years it will start to make Newriver a share to hold.

The company buys back more and more shares and the share price keeps falling. I am holding on until I am the last shareholder!!
