Why would the share price start to rise suddenly, Nassimi? Are you privy to some privileged information perhaps? Would appreciate hearing your reasoning on that contention.

I keep saying this, but, hell...I will say it again: this is not a high tech or engineering company supplying a finished product: it is a highly speculative attempt at finding a raw product that somebody else, beforehand, has missed and is therefore still lying, hopefully, somewhere underneath the ground. It is not a guarantee -- it is a Punt!! You cannot guarantee anything in this world apart from death and taxes (Benjamin Franklin, I think)...and certain it is you cannot guarantee, in this day and age especially, to find oil anywhere new never mind in an old, existing field that has been surveyed and drilled many times before. Yes, no doubt there is oil and gas there... but, it has to be commercially viable. And that is that whether some of you like it or not.

Oh...just one question to the self-opinionated rampers: why is it that over the last couple of weeks this share price has fallen quicker than P.H'S wallet from the top of an oil rig? Because, Terrier54, we, just like yourself, are planning to be long term holders. All we are advocating is instead of greedily throwing chunks of money at every fall...try and cultivate a little caution. Just because a person raises obvious pitfalls and bear traps that might or could happen, or questions a RNS, suggests a few possible "whats" or" ifs" does not make them a ramper with an ulterior motive. Or in your opinion does it? I am a long term holder with a cautious and open mind who is willing to invest more in this company based upon true market valuation derived from solid facts -- not pie-in-the-sky. Cheers.

I have to agree with you on that one, Mike31...as I have had to agree with you on most points you have raised. This is nothing more than colossal greed being most ably demonstrated here. At the end of the day what are we investing in? Answer: a hole in the ground that the Russians and Georgians drilled into decades ago. It is worth a punt, lads...but just that -- a punt!! Not worth your life savings or remortgaging your house. For Chr!st's sake -- it is mere SPECULATION!!!

I am still waiting for my apology from certain people on here by the way for all the abuse I took a while back for suggesting the near term financial outlook for this company was uncertain, at the worst - tenuous, based on the fact that it was being touted about on nothing more than overly ambitious optimism -- and not facts!! And they d@mn well do know who they are! So how about it boys...are you man enough to apologize? Because to me it would most certainly appear not!! But dry your eyes...put it all down to experience and the chance to lower your ever increasing buy in average. Oh...and one other thing to remember: try not to be too greedy next time...there again doubt if you will listen to that either.

Current agenda for CWU.

A. At this moment in external arbitration with Royal Mail.
B. If a resolution cannot be found on all grievances the CWU will:-
C. Formally notify Royal Mail on the 10th of September of its intention to issue strike ballot papers.
D. On the 24th of September the sending of strike ballot papers to all CWU members will start.
E. On the 8th of October (A.M) ballot will close.
F. Result will be announced on 8th of October (P.M).

Please bare this in mind: the buying of these shares at this current s.p may well be seriously detrimental to your present financial health.

Some time back on this board I was strongly suggesting, and not just for operational reasons but political as well, that the share price could well take a mighty big dip...and the price was approaching 14 pence then if I recall. You would not believe the abuse I took! Well, they are not laughing now are they. And yes the s.p could see 5p again...but I do concede it looks as if it has now found some sort of support. But there again I am just guessing. Just as I was guessing a week or so ago when I bought more at 7.5p...ah well -- thats the way it goes! Cheers!

Let us indulge in some" grown-up talk"...shall we? Facts: a; most of the worlds easily accessible oil fields are now gone or severely depleted, b; new technology (in the main "horizontal" drilling) will only produce, in most cases, very limited results, c; drilling for oil and gas is just that -- drilling speculative holes in the ground, d; everybody, including the BOD, experts and engineers can only hazard an opinion on the probability of finding commercially viable reserves of whatever they are drilling for, e; moving a rig 300, or even a 1000...or more, yards to the side of an existing one is not very likely, in the greater majority of attempts, to hit a rich new source of undiscovered wealth. In short: the investors, large and small, and the BOD are taking an educated punt! The long and short of it all is this: we, and everyone else, are investing money in a gamble. And it is as simple as that!!

I would have thought the answer was glaringly obvious, bigboffer: if those other wells produce in ample quantities we will all be in the money. If not...then most decidedly something else. And...er...it won't be the money.

You don't have to wait till next week for the mid 60s, Spike...as you can see it is already there.

What is most intriguing is: what was the cause, in the absence of any (not just meaningful) RNS, of the sharp spike in the s.p several days ago? How very strange...and somewhat disturbing I might add. Skulduggery? Oh heavens! Surely not?

The only thing that really mystifies me here is: why is it that this company has been allowed to remain almost completely silent for so very long without offering any regular communication (detailed updates) to its small private investors? Surely to goodness it most have attracted enough complaints by now for any regulatory authority to have decided enough is enough? I mean -- what the hell is going on!!!??

Gotrader. As always...you make concise and valid points. Regarding your comments on the IQE share options for directors -- I could not agree more!! I have never understood why it has to be that so many discounted shares are available to them right out from the very start. I have said it before and I say it again: a marvelous money-making machine for the directors -- but not so could for us investors. And yes...that does rhyme. Cheers!

I understand that, LB28. I also understand there are almost countless places you could drill for oil and gas all over the face of this planet...and far out, down into the bottom of the seabed too. But are they commercially viable? And not just that: the more shareholders you have -- the more you need to produce. Cheers!
