I think H + W are going to be in a position to pick and choose what they want to take on in 2025. I have been very impressed with the calibre of their hires over the last year as well. They just need to deliver contracts on time; and I don't believe they need to be the cheapest tender either to win contracts.

I.m.o. Pallion at Sunderland is a non-runner for any large Shipbuilding works. I read up on it a good bit when it was discussed a couple of months ago. Basically its a river that constantly needs dredging as it accumulates a lot of silt; and because of the distance in of the yard from the mouth of the river Wear this costs huge money, repeatedly... The council are not prepared to spend, and are not keen either to try and get shipbuilding going again because of it. that's what locals were discussing about it anyway...

With orders like this for Damen they must be getting on full capacity? Any ideas what they can do per Annum..?

The IOSSG are in a precarious position.

1. Cash reserves gone 2. No dividends for years 3. Up against a faster boat offering two trips per day 4. Struggling to keep Air Pilots wages at bay 5. An Airport in Scilly that is losing money so can't reduce fees to help 6. Will have Lost some support from locals and wider community as well as Politicians and Unions having a go at them.

IOSSG can make it work if they are the "only" provider. Keeping all nine board members singing off the same hymn sheet will be a tricky job and they have their work cut out.

The difficulties that IOSSG face is a forerunner for what other smaller UK Ferry Companies may also expect whenever they put out to contract for new vessels and go foreign. It could be a strategy that "long term" is good for HW

Caravan re 15:08 There may be "some" uncertainty in "some" investors minds, but that's certainly not across the whole spectrum I imagine. Only if a pi wanted to sell out would it really matter.
