The thing is... something has in fact happened;

CPI has become smaller, is generating less revenue, managed to deliver lower profits, and yet again pushed some costs forwards into the next 6month reporting period.

What these results do not adjust for is the cumulative impact of inflation...

CPI has been shrinking fast, even faster when considering cumulative inflation over past yrs gone by.

I think my £2bn revenue forecast for FY2025 is still a possibility, figures could even land in sub £2bn if this autumn is especially tough going for CPI.

IMO odds of CPI staying above that £2bn FY revenues figure just became smaller.

Total revenue down 6% to £1,159.8m

Operating profit down 79% to £9.2m

FCF also significantly down.

CPI just became smaller yet again, so LTH's own more shares in a smaller business. One which is still shrinking!

AimMaster2018- 100% agree, the profits decline is massive, and only looks better if using the adjusted figure excluding exits...

Basically they sold some more off to keep the wheels turning.

The revenue decline in call centre is still a massive decline, okay it came in less terrible than feared but its still really bad!

I still dont think those TCV figs are good enough and look reliant on a couple of one off flukes to me.

4% revenue decline, and still further cost cutting costs yet to land in H2.

This is more smokes and mirrors and for that reason I think the bug players really won't like these results. I suppose we shall see! 👀

A bidder might strike here on the FY2025 results now... as these half year bake in further decline yet to come in my view. DYOR

They previously stated over £5bn in the pipeline... a figure I said was balony... which they've now adjusted downwards a fair bit!

GMAN12 - there's also the additional cost of the cost cutting exercises being undertaken too. Plus the continued poor performance of the sales dept.

Capita One can only be sold once! Once gone it cannot be sold again to contribute towards the revenues for FY2025, and any revenues it previously contributed to the CPI treasury each year is also lost going forwards. Capita One was previously contributing positively to the CPI treasury coffers each year too.

You call 'manipulation' - which is super generic and you've not quoted any evidence to back up your claims. Then you wonder why the sarcasm? 🤷

Look if you have a sensible theory about what's actually going on, and what could happen on the results day then fair play - I invite you to put your views forward for discussion 😊
