FWIW Chillphill - - I rate Jet2 far above Squeezy. I think Jet2 are a thorn in Tui's side and are proving they're here for the 'long haul' with good times ahead.

Chillphill - Very much welcome you taking an objective look and sharing what your thoughts are. This is something the bot Avocet never does!

However, I don't think EZJ is an easy takeover - every time in the past a takeover has been attempted the current holders have demanded too high a price... only for the bidder to turn around and walk away easy! Whilst it might help holders with a temporary rally, at the takeover prospect, I'd imagine for holders the best thing to do would be sell your holdings off before the bidder drops away -then when the re-traces you can buy the same shares back for cheaper.

Aside from that cheeky trading approach, I just can't see Squeezy offering anything much worthwhile for investors. There's just far too many better stocks out there to make money on IMV. Glad you like GBG and I agree with your viewpoint tbh - DYOR

Eightyeight88 - I'm content with the SSPG buy up at ~£1.87p - It was only a small purchase, I've made many other SSPG buys at much lower prices.

Vod should head sub 80p by the time this week closes out 👍

Very much doubt she would care which particular business won the contract, given she'll be judged purely on her ability to deliver sucess for Cabinet Office itself.

There's been much prominent news on how dreadful CPI are coping in terms of handling that My CSP contract... and therein lies the central problem with CPI tbh; always blaming everyone else for the problems of their business, and rarely, if ever, taking responsibility. The recent verdict from ICO revealed plenty about the inner workings, and extensive problems at CPI IMV.

Too many staff, too few sales - and a rotten + unproductive business....

Chillphill - EZJ is a terrible investment. Currently EZJ are shuffling no more passengers around the skies than they were all the way back in 2019... and since then their business input costs & their ticket prices have soared. Not to mention they're shuffling those passengers around with a greater number of planes than they were in 2019 too. The moment consumers commence their cutting back then EZJ will be left high & dry. Plenty other far better stock investments out there on the markets IMV - DYOR

As for GBG - As a recent investor I'm in profit here and I'm still accumulating - more than happy to remain a holder and continue on with my accumulating strategy!

Nice purchase prices secured for you there Carrington 👍 - I'm sure that'll pay out in the mid-long term. Personally, I've opted to wait for lower as I still reckon shorters will capitalise some more yet on this negative narrative dominating the headlines. A rough week this one will prove IMV

I'm much less sure a rate cut will provide support. Primarily because UK economic weakness is the driving reason rates need to be trimmed. I think a cut might help reduce the rate of drops but I dont think BoE anywhere close to the 'neutral fiscal rate' yet, and won't be for quite some time. Potentially BoE rates will need to gradually head downwards until 1.75-2.25% IMO - DYOR

Seeing the SP this morning and having watched the Chancellors speech I think my guesstimation was broadly about right here. Indeed its dropped into the 140p's as I suspected it would ✅️ 😎

Polo Tang is delusional - I made rather good monies betting against his prophecy of doom for BT.

For me I think VOD will be spending some time in the sub 80p area, for a little while (but not lots below 80p mind, as it's still a great long term investment IMO). If it drops below 80p then I'll become interested once again in this stock.

That's a fair challenge Horsey One 😎 - For me personally, I'm very content with my strategy of gradually accumulating here. I've gone into this investment with eyes wide open and I'd much prefer to simply snaffle up more + more. It's because I'm in for the long haul, I'm under no illusions when it comes to the wider market turbulence. Fortunately I'm easily able to tolerate the fluctuations because I've no immediate need for my invested cash here.

Primarily I'm not letting any of my stock go at all, as trading smaller quantities for smaller short term gains will only serve to amplify my risk of getting caught out from this investment! I'm confident in this business and the BOD's... though what I cannot foretell is exactly when it will make that rocket lunch up into the stratosphere & beyond!🚀

A reasonable strategy Macy tbh 👍 - for me SSPG has further to fall yet before it'll enter my buying sights.

I found it interesting shorters went for the jugular on Friday, and I think they'll up the ante a further notch or three on these UK budget jitters. IMO it's possible we see low 140p's/high 130p's again - a view I shared on here a little while ago (I think I recall someone responding saying they would not be willing to tolerate this stock dropping that low again- for me though I shall be enduring the roller coaster ride here, and taking full advantage of accumulating!) - I've my sights on some buying in the mid-high 130p's if it becomes possible 👌😎

BoE MPC makes its decision next week. Looks a likely 0.25% cut IMO - I still don't think it'll be enough, more cutting will be needed soon.

Far further for CPI to fall yet - Way too many employees and far too few sales being made! More asset fire sales look inevitable, and no doubt revenues are continuing their downtrend as well.

Surprises me the SP is still clinging on above £3 - Should be more slippage soon enough IMV

Good afternoon Horsey One 👍- Really interesting day on the markets... Sep/Oct tend to be quite gruelling months, and this season is proving to be rather tough going for SSPG holders.

Personally, I'm keeping the faith here but... I completely recognise this is something far more easily spoken than it is done in practice; given such relentless shorting pressures, and the wider macroeconomic turbulence.

I'm confident those who hold out, to endure this ferocious storm will end up prevailing, and being handsomely rewarded for their loyalty here! I'm still yet to unload a single share. I've a decent qty in the hand (not too much, not too little), and I still have cash in a pot ready to buy up some more here too (for the right price). DYOR

MW would have to repurchase the stock they've borrowed, in order to close a proportion of their total open short holdings.

Keep the Faith HorseyOne! Trump messing about with Canada trade again... I think there will be ongoing turbulence but SSPG will ride through it IMO, hence why I'm content to buy should others find they become overly nauseous riding the 'SP roller coaster'! As the fundamentals here are rock solid IMV. DYOR.

Davethehorse - I agree with you although, I still haven't made my further purchase yet, as I think we may yet see the SP drop back into the 136-149p range, again. Saving my powder for when that happens (on UK budget Jitters, and further instability in France parliament).
