One of the most interesting sentences in that article is this:

"Tui is cutting the number of seats it purchases from its airline partners by 4-5% over the summer, while maintaining its own flying programme at current levels"

Tui buys seats from EZJ so this appears to signal there will be a direct negative impact on EZJ from this TUI decision. DYOR - IMO

Well I think I called it correctly when I sold my lot again. Tbh I now think the battle for PM will drag on UK FTSE, £ and gilts rates already soaring. More damage looking likely to occur well into next week.

On 1st May right at the end of day trading. IMV the political instability in No.10 will put a downer on this stock, as the ID plans of the Labour Gov might again be put at risk of becoming axed.

I think GBG is a decent business but I also think the SP might get hammered for some time through this patch of political instability so I bailed out for profit for the 2nd time. DYOR - IMO

Personally, I'm not at all concerned mid-long term. Although, election results Thur night & Friday could send the FTSE downwards tbh, so I am prepared for this to drop back to the low 140p's (assuming Iran deal becomes stalled again too which I think may well occur). I think we could close out Friday trading at somewhere within the 137.4-142.9p range tbh.

MaxJH seemingly content to dismiss those concerns raised by the Sky News coverage... 'nothing to see here, quickly sweep it underneath the rug' appears to be their approach.

Personally, I think that's pretty shameful. CPI should be stripped of the Civil Service Pension contract for their sheer incompetence and blatant neglect of vulnerable people. DYOR - IMO

Shocking article and good on Sky News for highlighting the terrible situation with the Civil Service Pension contract. Tbh after watching that story I reckon CPI should have that contract taken off them.

Webba1 - SSPG are obligated to sell off quite a large holding of the TFS; as per the conditions of the India stock market float. That compliance cannot be escaped from.

Even if SSPG is taken private the company will still have to comply with selling off quite a large proportion of their TFS stock holdings. Within 3yrs SSPG cannot drop their stake below a certain threshold either; so SPPG must remain holders of a decent chunk of TFS for a long while yet. In the meantime, if and when TFS pays out some dividends that money will flow as income, into the SSPG coffers.

£2.50p should be easily achievable here if there was a bid right now. Plus £2.50p should also be easily achieved if things remain as they are and that's because the business is growing, it's earning and it's been actively making efficiency improvements too. There's lots to like about how this business is being run in my view and that's why I'm staying invested here. DYOR - IMO

in my opinion iran can't afford to risk usa resuming military action - so despite their rhetoric they'll have to fold and agree a deal; as the blockade is far more ruinous for iran than for usa.
