Yep, however... for that to happen private investors (55%) would have to agree to being bought out... I cannot see a situation arising in which they'd agree to that, esp at a time when the future prospects for TUI are bright. Unless a funder were to offer an outrageous price per share (£20 plus) which frankly is not going to happen.

I agree Stupmy, had I seen oil drop back down to $80 today I'd have been eager to press that buy button... Problem if we close today just above £5 is next week will likely see more aggressive selling. That is, until central banks pivot on rate rises and commit to at least hold them. I want to buy some more but... seeing more downsides right now than plus and I'd like buy to contribute in a small way to sending us back upwards and not just slowing the fall that tiny bit.

Comparison to Cineworld seems illogical because they had a single product business model, sell a cinema ticket. There's far more diversity to the TUI business model. TUI is not like Cineworld at all.

In particular I meant to add I really don't like that oil prices have crept upwards to around $85 recently. I'm watching them quite closely.

Agree with sentiments there Stupmy and many other shares out there are going for reasonable prices right now. Lots of choice for buyers and no obvious pivot point on immediate horizon for SPs to be triggered to rise upwards.

Relieved I saved some cash back and didn't buy in yesterday. I did consider that in my worst case scenario we could see SP dropping below £5, hence my comment about benefit v risk. Could we even see it drop down just past £4.80 today?

Could we see SP tip below £5 today?? USA and Asia stocks did not do well into the evening and overnight... I think the bears will dominate today sadly.

Nice Nice - had a gut feeling that one was yours! 14:54 ish If i recall right? - I've not hit the buy button here yet as SP has not yet hit the right level for my ideal risk vs potential benefit. Holding back and depending how things progress I may or may not jump in for another top up.

I agree with Tui being good value. I had considered buying into some EZJ as ~£4.40-60 appears a good price but... I think TUI has lots more opportunity for add on sales, far greater forward prospects, as during times of high demand it's surely best to back the player with the greatest share of the market?
