I don't hold this share currently. However, I noticed they are planning to cancel the Aim shares and convert them to ADS. It is worth checking that your broker platform is OK with this. If held in an Isa or a Sipp there are likely to be issues with some service providers. See the Verona Pharma thread as there were issues when they cancelled their Aim shares in favour of ADS

One idea I took recently from the Ruhane, Cuniffe and Goldfarb philosophy on investing is to school myself in the idea of being a business owner. I find this helps when SP driven doubts arise or when short term rises bring the temptation to sell up and pocket a decent gain.

There are now almost 15000 people in hospital in the UK with Covid. All we needed were 90 for our trial. The last update was that there had been difficulties getting up and running because of the domination of trials by the Recovery programme.
Regeneron is part of the Recovery trial. This has been withdrawn in the US as too dangerous for the sickest patients but it is not really suited to less sick ones as you need to go on a drip.

I was also looking at the Seres website the other day. Whilst 4D are employing a single strain approach to LBTs they have gone for what looks like a more complex consortia approach. Whilst 4D look to identify a single strain which will have various effects on the immune system, Seres look to get multiple effects from finding the optimal mix of different strains. Their c difficil results did look quite impressive.
However, Duncan has slightly scoffed at this consortia approach in the past. When he makes claims about being the microbiome leader it is based on his belief in demonstrating single strain efficacy as well as the fact that 4D have LBTs in clinical trials beyond gastroenterology. Namely, oncology, respiratory and neuro degenerative.
So over the next few years it will be interesting to see which approach wins out or whether single strain and consortia will co-exist.

A lot more interesting than why the SP is up or down 5p in any given day.

Longevity is a special purpose acquisition vehicle which already held the funds to buy shares once a suitable investment opportunity was found.
They are now going to merge with 4D and their portion of the shares will become ADS in the combined company.

I am more interested in the statement that Duncan says we are the world leader in the microbiome field rather than short term SP fluctuations.

Interesting that from the start 4D understood the need to invest in their own production facility. This was because there were concerns about 3rd parties being able to produce live biotherapeutics that were sufficiently quality controlled and stable.
I was reading some stuff the other day about regulatory frameworks for LBTs and it seems 4D has been ticking all the right boxes. Duncan also recently mentioned their input in to the development of regulations in Europe.

Clearly a pharma co needs to proceed through drug trials and approval processes prior to commercialising its products.

My take away from the SITC presentation was the importance of the neo adjuvant monotherapy data in further demonstrating the mechanism of Mrx 0518. This can then be included in the Q1 meeting with the FDA as MOA would be key criteria for any expedited approval.

So did Verona and Mereo. Once the bulk of the trades were on Nasdaq they decided it wasn't worth the cost of maintaining a dual listing

Also AJ Bell say ADS can't be held in a Sipp full stop if no other listing
