The last update was that they couldn't get up and running because trial treatments are dominated by those included in the Recovery programme.
However, that was said when there were only a few hundred hospitalised with Covid. There are now 15000 and as we only need to try it out on 90....we can only hope that something is going on somewhere with it.
The drug ****tail that Trump used is on the Recovery trial but that has been suspended in the US as dangerous for serious cases. For less severe cases it is not much use as you need to go on a drip and be admitted.
I believe some hospital trusts have been crap at making space for trials and were criticised a few weeks ago. Oh to be able to speak to Dinesh Saralaya, the lead clinician.
