As shareholders of Verona Pharma found out last month.

If the investor holds an American depositary shares or American depositary receipt that is traded on a US stock exchange the underlying investment is the shares represented by the American depositary shares or American depositary receipt. If these shares are officially listed on a recognised stock exchange, the American depositary shares or American depositary receipt will be a qualifying investment for stocks and shares ISA

But if they delist from Aim in the future there will be no reference for the ADS and they will no longer qualify as an Isa investment or for a Sipp.

For this reason I have switched to AJ Bell from Fidelity as at least AJ Bell have the facility to hold them in a Dealing account if the worst comes to the worst.

Admittedly I am probably getting ahead of myself but I am a forward thinker.

Rather than rubbishing this concern maybe check out the LSE Verona Pharma thread and some extremely disgruntled long term shareholders.

And think about what we as shareholders of 4D can do to mitigate this risk on a personal basis as well as collectively by raising it with the company.

We have the same Nomad as Verona Pharma and Mereo Bio pharma in N+1 Singer. A potential delisting from Aim at some point in the next year or two and the risk of conflict breaking out in the US are my main concerns.

Rightly or wrongly it is included in the Vox Covid 19 Index Fund.

No but 4D has been lumped in with other Covid stocks. I remember it being added to a Covid index a few months back.

Moderna is also at phase 3 and their product is more stable than Pfizers.

Not likely to get any in the UK though

Well this was 125 last week when the Pfizer news broke. It doesn't stop the manic depressive market reacting under their brain dead perceptions of what is really going on with a company like 4D

Forewarned is forearmed. That is why I will probably transfer my Isa to AJ Bell from Fidelity as the latter can't hold Nasdaq shares at all.

That is what Mereo Bio pharma and Verona Pharma both said. They have now both delisted. Once trading took off on the Nasdaq they felt it was not worth paying the costs of dual listing.

I spoke to AJ Bell dealing service and they said they are having a lot of trouble with these accounts.

Also for anyone else planning to invest long term in this share I would write to investor relations about the Nasdaq listing.

If the overall plan is to eventually delist from Aim and rely entirely on ADS this will make it hard to hold in a Sipp or Isa although it will be able to be held in a GIA.

I have written to them and I will let you know their response.

Depends what sort of time frame you are working to. I am not in for a quick buck but for long term value.

You'll be long gone at 170p so maybe it would be nice to see it rise a bit!
