But if they sell at a loss then they are likely to think once bitten twice shy with the company so their funds would be less likely to support and boost the share price on a future occasion.

If enough people complain when it happens then the brokers and platforms will have to try harder.

If you are paying for a platform and they are not providing a service that other brokers are then there are sufficient grounds to complain.
It may not just be the connections, which sounds like a really good techno excuse to shut up those pesky punters. It may be that they are not providing quotes from all their brokers because they are screening some out.

No one is making the links you say Michael. People are talking about the high expectations that were set here by certain posters who were probably engaged in a pump and dump or shorting operation. I don't think anyone has suggested the Nasdaq listing has caused the drop. More the case that based on past experience with UK biotechs listing on Nasdaq, it was not going to give a sustainable boost to the share price.

Still is happening with Tils which is why I couldn't understand what the fuss about Nasdaq listing was in terms of instant gains.
Same with Verona Pharma and Mereo and their Nasdaq listings last couple of years.

I didn't sell the other day because I foolishly believed the additional Merck investment might be seen favourably and I also thought might hit 160.
Why is it that people think that the only thing that might happen in the short term is that we will rise to match the valuations of the likes of Seres and Evelo.?
Surely they could also drop down to fall in line with our valuation?

It's like no one here has any awareness of current happenings in markets.
There are big concerns about Nasdaq valuations of biotechs and tech stocks given rising inflation expectations. There is also a lot of talk about a rotation from tech to value stocks.
So we are kind of listing at not such a great time for short term movements upwards.
So I think Nasdaq expectations need to be tempered and better to be focused more on pipeline catalysts

Evelo did a placing in February at $15. They are at $11 today with no adverse news.
