Well first off, Carlow Castle runs over into GGP’s property where we have the 70/30 j/v. It would make sense to keep the same situation if Carlow Castle is bought. No arguments over who’s gold is on what side of the border.
I also think that paying Newcrest in shares for our 30% makes good economics and I believe would help to put an end to the sp being range bound.

I don’t think Newcrest would be buying all of Artemis, maybe just the Australian assets.

Paulstoaked, that would be good. A 70/30 Jc with Newcrest, with our share paid to Newcrest with shares. They strengthen their holding here,which also protects us from predators.

What is Artemis worth and is the Carlow Castle project their only project?

The reason I ask, is I wondered if GGP could be looking at a J/v. I know it means finding more cash for drilling etc, but is it a possibility or are they out of our reach?

To maintain relevance as a gold miner, Barrick Gold CEO Mark Bristow said miners need to take on bigger assets.
Bristow appeared on Kitco on the same day the miner (ABX:TSX) released its Q1, which reported a 78% jump in first-quarter profit, smashing analyst expectations. Bristow had been eyeing some copper assets before the recent run-up in prices.

You could also look at it from the other direction. How many bought in early,held at 38 p and still hold whilst having a large paper loss on the high point!

I was down over 450,000 gbp, from its high, but I am still holding. Many others are in the same boat. Is that not commitment to the company as well?

Regarding crypto. Are these youngsters piling in, the same ones concerned about the planet and the environment?
Just google Bitcoin and carbon footprint and you will see that this ‘ industry’ is using as much electricity this year as central London. New York politicians are getting concerned and it is only time before someone suggests a halt.

As Paddy has suggested, a takeover of a small producer could be good for providing funding for ongoing exploration.

Buying an Australian miner on the ASX would be even better and allow GGP a cheap way of listing on that exchange.

Let’s hope for a dual listing on the ASX.
