For people like myself who don’t know what brownfield mining is. Here is a possible explanation.

I did say it was wild speculation on my part, but what if GGP had reported half decent grades when they don’t have the money to develop it. Another j/v or would someone eye up the chance to take out GGP, before then?

Bamps, apologies as I have just seen your post from earlier.

It is an interesting concept you put forward re the importance of Scallywag, which I hadn’t even thought about.
My post was hypothesising about how GGP may be trying to play down the results to date from Scallywag, in an attempt to make itself less attractive as a takeover target.
I am sure that if they had reported anything like decent drill results, then that would have alerted bigger fish to take an interest.
The ‘pathfinder’ results reported were a disappointment to the market (wrongly in my opinion), but it did calm things down at a point where big changes were happening with the company.
The drill rig will not be at Scallywag until later in the year and a plausible reason has been given.
Hopefully by that time, Havieron will have its PFS reported together with an upgraded mre, which may make us a more difficult takeover target.
I think there is a lot of good results to come from Scallywag, when the time is right.
I have read many of your posts on the structures in the Pilbara and Scallywag has been identified as having a number of targets identified.
As I said in my earlier post, it is wild speculation on my part, so I would advise people not to invest on this theory at this time lol.

Thanks Hydrogen. I don’t know how many shares have been issued at OMI, but good luck to all their holders in any case. ( I don’t hold any by the way).

Looking at OMI today and their 90% rise in one day, made me wonder what our best intra day rise had been since we rose from 0.6p up to the dizzy heights of 38.25p?

I know we have not had anything as stellar as 90% and vaguely think we were up about 25% on one day sometime in the past year.

Anyone got that info please? Just out of interest . Thanks.

Lebugue, thanks for the reply. In my post, I was wondering if GGP was keeping something back. As I say if they gave any hint then I am sure we would have been subject to a bid if some kind. I thought the ‘results rns’ for Scallywag was muted for that reason.
