Thanks MH01. I can see where you are coming from.
The average P/E ratio for the gold industry is around 22.
I wouldn’t expect GGP to get there straight away, but you never Know.
I think Northern Star are something like a o/e around 35!
MH01, you say
“ Even if we take $2500 to be conservative the impact on GGPs share price has to be positive, I expect a double at least from here, so back to the 20’s (pence) once again.”
Hope you don’t mind if I ask, is this for the present MRE, or the one to come? I was hoping for more based on $2500 an ounce and a new resource around 10 million ounces equivalent.
Gold through first resistance at 2039. Next point 2050. Good Luck ever6pne.
12p just in time for Mondays rns re Scallywag results, Tuesdays rns re the MRE, Wednesdays rns, we are buying a gold producer with an all share deal.
I’m not asking too much am I?
Apologies Droverman. Bl**dy spell checker.
Driver man and thedoors, appreciate you taking the time to reply. A delicate balancing act and I’m not too sure how shareholders would react to a delay in publishing the numbers. However in Shaun we trust.
Good luck all holders.
It would be nice to get an updated MRE at an unexpected time of day, but having thought about it, Shaun Day has said he wants to share their data with the senior jv partner, before it is published,
If they do, who then gets to declare the new MRE results? As senior partner, would Newmont report it first? Would it be reported to the ASX first?
Any thoughts anyone.
Up !
The problem we have now, is that we roughly know when and what is coming. No surprises. So players can trade quite comfortably, assisted by the MM’s, who keep control of the sp.
JB,
Gervaise Heddle was a master at it. Different times, different days. You never knew when news would arrive.
Maybe not professional for an upcoming player like GGP, but it would certainly stir things 7p.
Mr Day, if you read these boards, when it is time, can you please issue an Rns after the markets open, to disrupt these traders and the hold they have on the sp. Today was a fine example. Allow it to get to 10.35 mid price and sell, then buy back in lower and start the cycle again.
You will only have to do it once to cause consternation and make them wary about trying to trade this share.
I think it was Bellers who first reported this ………
Hedge fund short sellers suffer $43bn of losses in market rally.
It may be coincidence that our shares rallied during this period, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the same people have tried to short again.
Very dangerous here, in view of news to come.
Let’s hope Shaun publishes the MRE this week,(before the AGM on the 6th) and catches these shorters with their pants down.
They would certainly buying back in double digits.
Good luck all holders.
There’s got to be only one by Spandau Ballet……….
GOLD
With the U.S. markets closed for Thanksgiving and no manipulation of the gold price from there, let’s hope for a decent rise in the price of gold.
What is vesting?
Vesting is the process of gaining 100% ownership of an asset. When employees are granted an asset on day one, they don’t have full control over it until the vesting period has passed.
Once it has passed (you can also say the employees have been fully vested), they own the asset and can exercise (i.e. purchase) it or sell it.
You have to wonder if someone is looking to take us out on the cheap, hence this poor rns to try and put up some kind of defence!
If the last lot of news is anything to go by, ( released each day leading up to his appearance), Shaun may wait until the build up to the AGM and release a string of news. Results at Scallywag, MRE etc.
Let’s hope the sp keeps rising until then !
Yes he is and everyone is falling for it again. Clogging up the board with dozens of posts.
Just green bin him. Starve him of the oxygen he feeds on.
I’m glad you can have a choice on 9 or 10, if you want to.
What did the boss of Newmont say about Telfer?
It’s got a copper concentrator.
What is at RIO’s Winu site? A shed load of copper.
Could be Wyloo and Rio will help GGP buy out Newmont at Havieron and Telfer !
Wouldn’t surprise me if GGP has had exploratory talks about acquiring Newmonts slice of Havieron and Telfer.
We have all assumed Telfer without Havieron was worthless with decommissioning costs etc.
Newmont are trying to counter that argument in the last interview.
Newmont could be setting out its stall on the possible bargaining and price for those assets.
