Has there been any comments on Hot Copper from Newcrest shareholders on the 5%?

Many were angry about the poor dividend in comparison to their peers and complained about the spending being made by the company.

Now they know they could have got more for it if SD’s offer was taken, I wonder how this news will go down?

“ they didn’t bother replying”….. maybe they thought SD’s offer to buy the 5% was less than what they thought it would be worth in a few years time.

Anyway, the option has not yet been taken up as far as I know. SD’s off er might still be on the table!

They have 30 days to agree to buy the 5%. I did a quick read before, but I didn’t see anywhere that they have accepted it yet, although you would think they would do.

Can someone also confirm that once this is complete, Newcrests first option to buy Scallywag ceases? I am not sure if this also extends to Havieron as well, but I’m sure I read Scallywag was mentioned.

The last fund raise rns was released at 16.44 hours, with people complaining there wasn’t enough time to put on a bid.
Could this be another fundraise?

With Newcrest drilling results due tonight, you would think Shaun would have the rns ready for 7am tomorrow. You would also expect him to do his interviews that morning wouldn’t you?
Instead it is 3.30pm.
I suppose it could be to allow shareholders to get their questions in, but what could we ask that we didn’t ask last week or so?

The U/Tbtrade is normally done at 16.35 unless there is a price extension.

The 16.35 trade was 10.40, yet they used the 16.38 trade at 10.20. Strange.

Outside the box, a jv with Artemis. They need GGP’s experience on deep drilling!

Thanks for the link Jiffy. I did watch it at Lunchtime and he was saying something about mergers and acquisitions, but wasn’t sure what the question had been.
That is why the excellent efforts by Dip is so appreciated. You can read it over a few times if you are slow like I am!

I suppose it would be another 140 million shares voting against a low ball offer though.
