Maybe Raharh.. But if a CFO was pushed out of his role in any other big org he would have left immediately - you don't hang around to play second fiddle.. They replaced him externally so that had to be planned in advanced. Just my thoughts..

Also, interesting that the the new guy's (Gordon Boyd) last two roles as per linkedin were interim roles where there was a merger or takeover.. may be getting carried away with my imagination lol...

He is still around till March and the fact they have replaced him already (even if temporary) suggests that this has been planned for a while - strange for the CFO to depart if they are in the middle of the sale of a major division..

Where are Schroders getting their shares from? They increased their holdings by nearly 2%. That's about 32M share increase.
I would have thought I would have seen some huge trades if they bought on the open market but I don't think I have.
I wonder if they have been taken from another entity off book?

Just making the point that this is not going to be 20B+ company soon as spouted and that when you have just had to do a rights issue to replaced the cash you burnt, until revenues start coming in you are in no position to think you are cash rich.
This is not a company with billions of extra cash just sitting there to invest... It's going to months still before vaccines are given to everyone and flights resuming pre covid..

All well and good what future plans are but in the immediate future, cash is king.. otherwise the share price wouldn't have tanked in the first place.. good luck all

You really should work some numbers out...There are people on this forum who will put money they can't afford to lose based on price targets spouted that are unrealistic.
£2.50 share price would imply a mcap of over 20B.. the highest RR has ever been is around 23B when the share price was around £12
Also the rights issue basically replaced the cash that was burnt this year. RR desperately need the vaccine sorted and planes back in the skies other wise it's still burning cash and will need another cash raise... hopefully it won't be necessary. That's the reality.

I would urge a word of caution to those who are touting £1.50 and beyond. Before you pile in in the morning, If you do the maths, £1.50 share price make the company over £12B market cap - around/higher than the mcap before Covid. I think it would be overvalued as there is a long way to go still regarding vaccine/planes in the sky - RR will be burning cash before all this as well. All in my opinion.

Many people on this board have no idea of how much cash RR is burning (no fault of their own) due to Covid.
They had to do a rights issue to keep a float and replace the cash that has been burnt this year. If things don't improve regarding planes in skies then they will most likely have to do another rights issue.

You've got to look at the fundamentals with Rolls Royce at the moment before deciding if it's a good price to invest at. I personally think that price is around 45p-50p. I hope it doesn't get there for current holders but at the moment it's too risky to invest large amounts at the current price. Just my take..

Management need to get price up to £6 to get their 150M..
They will be in no hurry to sell up unless well over this in my opinion.

you can see on above link the shorts being held above 0.5% by anyone. Looks like at a minimum 4%.

In the scheme of things if they sold some of the shares they bought at 27p and sold at 24p - it's only about a 25k loss.
