Given the placing that is going on and the current share price is there a danger that this company is now "ripe for picking"? With the price so low and given the unique technology that HDD has does this leave the company open to a takeover. Danger in my mind is that someone could pick this up so cheaply and leave existing shareholders well out of pocket. I still believe in what HDD do and want to see us all share in their success but the way they are currently running the business surely raises a lot of issues/questions. Hopefully we can all weather this storm but I really think the company is so undervalued it really is looking like a steal!! Continued good fortune to one and all. Rgds, S
Berenberg starts Kier Group with 'buy' - price target 210 pence. I always take a broker guidance with a pinch of salt but happy to see if they get this one right. Anything that can provide upward momentum must be a good thing. Time will tell. Continued good fortune to one and all. Rgds, S

Krusty - A month without receiving a dividend is a month wasted!!!!!! Rgds, S
Krusty - Looks like we are similar stocks and on a similar journey so it is going to be interesting times ahead for sure. Given the number of stocks I hold I am not looking to add any more new companies until such times as I lose some of the poorer performers. Oh hang on that could be most of them lol lol. Though I will have a look at those you mentioned so thanks for that. Keep the faith and may your gains always exceed your losses. Rgds, S
Like you say Krusty it is getting harder to find decent payers. Amongst my reits I have Aire, lxi, aew and rgl. All decent payers but all could possibly do with merging or be subject to takeover. Perseverance is the word we need to use lol. Continued good fortune with your holdings. As for RLE just watch this space.

Krusty - Maybe I am reading too much in to this but I think a takeover is on the cards. I read and reread the latest update and it just had something about it. Now as for your comment about merger's I think that is likely. We are already seeing LXI being courted by London Metric and I can see a few others going down this route. Makes sense surely from a synergy point of view.

Mary - Time will tell. A broker update today also albeit they are a bit behind the curve with the target. Still better late than never!!:
UBS raises Taylor Wimpey to 'buy' (neutral) - price target 160 (126) pence

GrahamC72, One share or 913 it makes no difference so welcome as a NWG shareholder. We all share one thing in common - NWG - we all want to see it be successful so we can all make a little (or big!) profit. Good fortune with your recent purchase and welcome once again. Rgds S
Looking forward to next Thursday when TW are due to issue their latest trading statement. Hoping for positivity all round and the kick start we need to propel this share to the next level. This trading statement could be the solid foundations for 2024 that we so dearly could do with. Well we can but hope lol. Continued good fortune to all TW shareholders, those considering getting in and to those merely watching. Per Ardua Ad Astra. Rgds S
Seen_it, For me it all boils down to how much you want to make. Some people refuse to sell in anticipation of share continually rising whilst others are happy to sell when they have made a reasonable profit. What is a reasonable profit is different to us all but we only make a gain or a loss when we sell. Everything else is all just on paper. Personally I used to hold forever (at my detriment!) but now I am happy to accept a profit of x%. If the share I sell goes up the next day then so be it. Equally if the share goes down the next day so be it. What I am trying to get across is don't be too attached to your shares. When you make a decision to sell then don't think "what if". Remember if the next person buying your share cannot make a profit then why would they buy it? We all want a piece of the cake but if we do get to greedy then the cake is not worth buying. Set a limit that makes you happy then bank the profit. Leave some crumbs for the next buyer but above all you are the master or mistress of your own destiny. Good luck with all your decisions and worth noting is that a day without learning is really a day wasted. Gleam all the info you can but "make your own decisions" on how you interpret that info. May your gains exceed your losses and to all fellow LNG holders continued good fortune to one and all. Rgds, S
A good cash generating share that is well suited to an ISA. Love the quarterly dividends that most REIT's pay. Fortunate that my selection of REIT's pay a dividend every month. Appreciate that REIT's are like marmite but whilst I don't like marmite I do like REIT's and I do like LXI. Continued good fortune to all LXI shareholders, those considering getting in and to those just watching. At the end of the day we all just want to see a decent return on our investments and this gives a decent return. Rgds, S
A good set of results. Dividend of 1.65pps. Paid 10 Jan 24. Xd 7 Dec 23.

The recent announcement of the acquisition of AVRS is, in my view, extremely positive and a good step going forward. The company that I work for has added AVRS to it's vendor list and has utilised them extensively throughout the last 11 months and more so over the last few months. GFRD is worthy of addition to any portfolio for either the dividend/growth or both. Happy to continue to buy at these levels. Continued good fortune to all GFRD holders, those considering buying and those just watching. Rgds, S
Well with all the negativity surrounding RGL over the past few months it is nice to finally receive some positive news. Yes it is only one more building that is now fully let but every journey starts with the first footstep. Having taking a real battering recently I believe that any good news is well deserved and for one would like to see a lot more so fingers crossed. Well we can but hope. Continued good fortune to all RGL shareholders, those considering getting in and those just watching. Rgds, S
