Scandi, Thanks for sharing. I too have AEWU on my watchlist. With the recent drop in price I was split between Rgl and Aewu. Rgl won but my next addition will be Aewu if price remains. Aewu has been tipped recently by Investors Chronicle mag so that put it on to my radar. Thanks again for your comments. Good fortune in all your dealing. Rgds S
Gerry thanks for taking the time to share. Suffice to say the markets are all over the place at the moment. Seems like the perfect time to average down. As for the reits these are part of a balanced portfolio of around 37 companies so not all eggs in the one basket. I love them for the steady 8%ish dividends. Sadly in these times we must seek to minimise our losses against inflation and reits for me meets that objective. Good luck with your portfolio going forward and thanks again for your thought. Rgds S
Legs. Thanks for your posts. Will have a look at those two. Currently I have RGL, AIRE, LXI and RLE. I like the dividend returns and the quarterly payments. Great way to maximise your ISA savings. Good luck to one and all. May your gains exceed your losses. Rgds S
Just added RGL to my portfolio. Trade is showing as a sell on here but I always take the trade info with a pinch of salt. REIT's are really good value with their divi returns and in this instance for RGL a very low share price. Additionally the latest property purchases notified this week are a welcome addition to the RGL stable. This is my 4th REIT share and already i am a believer - only wish I had found REIT's a little earlier. Good luck to all be you either invested, potentially looking to invest or just watching this share. Rgds S
Gary59, May I suggest you consider REITs for dividend returns. I was pointed in that direction some time back and have found them to be most rewarding. Having a few of those in an ISA is a great way to maximise income. There are a number of REITs shares around and dividends vary from 3 to 9+%. I truly am an admirer but respectfully suggest you do some research. I actually started putting a number of those in to a future pension pot and have to say I wish I had discovered them much earlier. Have a look and see what you think. Good hunting and good fortune to one and all. Rgds Saintly.
Congratulations to RLE on increasing the dividend. Yet again this share just keeps on giving. Would like to see a more proactive approach with regards adding to the portfolio and occupancy levels but overall well done to RLE.
Hopefully the long wait from development to approval to actual orders has been worth it. Now that the airbus orders are on their way I hope this has a snowball effect and leads to greater things. I think now is a good time to be in this stock and we can look forward to a nice steady rise in the coming months.
Markets seem to like the news. Onwards and upwards. Good fortune to one and all.
A really positive and upbeat statement ahead of the agm later today. Seems like an age since there was something to really look forward to. Now all we have to see is the words turned in to income. Seems to me it has been a long time in coming but then good things do come to those that wait. Regards to all hdd investors, those considering buying or those just watching this share. S
Well here we go again. Final results due to be posted on Thursday 3 Mar 22. What are we going to get? Probably not what most of us would like but I expect to see a decent dividend return to shareholders. Problem as I see it is that companies are paring the dividends and opting for buy backs. I can understand the rationale of buy backs but would much prefer to see TW return to the once mighty option of returning the cash to the shareholders and letting the shareholders decide where they want that money to go. Personally I like to reinvest but I would prefer the option to be made by myself. Only time will tell. Regardless of what we want time will tell. The return of the "special dividend" would be greatly appreciated. Roll on Thursday and regards to all holders, potential holders or those just watching this share.
swsquires - agree completely about reit discussion groups. Cash generating companies such as these offer a massive addition to our ISA accounts and provide a more than steady income and as such would make a great talking point. RLE for me has been a really positive addition to my portfolio and as such I actually started a pension fund with this being one of three companies to provide a regular income. One of the others is actually AIRE. Hope you enjoy looking up on RLE. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Good luck with your research and good luck with your portfolio(s)
swsquires - An impressive selection of reits if I may say so. If you are looking to make changes can I respectfully suggest you have a look at RLE, AIRE and AEW. I am a holder in both RLE & AIRE and just awaiting to buy in (start of new tax year) to AEW. RLE and AIRE both give an impressive 7%+ in dividends which beats inflation hands down. Investors Chronicle - excellent publication!!!- has both AIRE & AEW on its recommendation to buy list so that alone is enough to make people sit up and take notice and commence their own research. I, like yourself, have recently discovered the reit's and really wish I had done so much earlier in my life! With inflation as it is it really makes sense to get more in in income than you lose in inflation. Good luck to all investors and may your gains exceed your losses. Rgds Saintly
I think the acquisition of II will be a game changer for Abdn. I am a holder of ABDN shares and also my broker is II so I have an interest in both camps. II have a massive customer base and a massive amount under investment. I believe they will bring positive earnings to Abdn and we will reap the benefits by way of increased dividends and access to the massive customer base that II has. Rest assured my proceeds from this purchase of II will be used to further increase my holdings in Abdn so that shows how confident I think this acquisition will be to the company. Good luck to all fellow investors or potential investors of this share.
