There will be significantly more frack fluid than returned from Alkaid#1 as that was just a frack of 6 feet of wellbore, whereas Alkaid#2 has been fracked some 30 times over its 1 mile horizontal.

Interesting:
In the Permian the trend is now for 3 mile long horizontals - and even the simultaneous fracking of two wells - and so bringing production costs down.
So, looks like, with our initial 'toe in the oil' Alkaid#2 production well - being just 1 mile long, we've left plenty of room for 'improvements' when drilling those future wells.

At 1h 25m 52s time, the comment is that they wont have to use nitrogen any more for lift as they'll have the use of natural gas.

From the 25Mar2019 RNS re Alkaid#1 flow test:
"Light oil (40 degree API) was recovered and c.40% of the frac fluid was returned within the first 14 hours. The well was shut in for 72 hours due to equipment problems and severe weather conditions (stage 3 Blizzard). The well was then turned back on and the oil cut increased steadily to +40%, producing about 80-100BOPD with occasional slugs of oil producing at much higher rate."

So, if the frac fluids had had time to completely clean up, ie. 100% oil cut, it would appear that this could possible have given scope for the test to proportionally have produced around 200 bopd from just the one 6 foot frac'ed section.
And, to boot, it turned out that Alkaid 1 was drilled on the edge of that reservoir, into the type B facies of shaly and cemented sands and not the ‘sweet spot’ type A facies with their better rock attributes for oil.

Now in the 29july22 RNS re Alkaid#2:
"The results of logging while drilling demonstrates the clear potential for a material upgrade of both the current Alkaid and SMD resources."
And In a follow up interview they said that the porosity and permiability were better than expected.

And, in the 18aug22 RNS they said of Alkaid#2:
"... perforating and stimulating the horizontal section approximately every 165 ft and will necessitate +/- 30 separate perforation and stimulation stages."

So, when we look to the flow result that is possible from Alkaid#2, by lumping all that lot together, to my mind we have: (80 to 100bopd at Alkaid#1 from a 1 x 6foot frac) x (a factored increase for when the frac had cleaned up from just 40% oil cut) x (a factored increase for Alkaid#2 being in a better part of the Alkaid reservoir with better porosity and permiability than at Alkaid#1) x (approx 30 for the fracs anticipated at Alkaid#2)
Try a few figures in there - conservative ones - and see what flow rate that might produce.

A short and simple look at why the science, technology, environmentals and numbers for wind and solar just don’t add up as a viable alternative. The wind and sunshine may be renewable and free, but the wind turbines, solar panels and their huge support infrastructure and storage certainly aren’t. And their environmental footprint is massive - why haven’t I heard this being pointed out before?

And in this interview of Dr Patrick Moore at 1hr: 00min:16sec he raises a very interesting point I’d not heard before:
“…the idea that wind and solar are going to replace fossil fuels or nuclear or hydro-electric is absolutely insane – can I just explain a little bit….”

So, he’s quite logically pointing out, that for example, for every 1,000 mega-watt Gas power station, we would need ~ 3,000 mega-watts of solar or wind turbines as its replacement – sounds like a huge drawback – so, why haven’t I heard this being pointed out before?

One could make a guesstimate based on the Talitha A well which took about 33 days from it's spud on 13Jan2021 and drilled to 10,452ft. But that was a winter drill with a less powerful rig - so I would expect Alkaid #2 to reach TD on the vertical well section in less time.
Does anyone know if they have specified a TD for Alk#2 - I'm assuming about 10,000ft.
