Benny, I accept your comments in part but take a look at the balance sheet valuation of the Ugandan assets as opposed to actual sale value. This has nothing to do with Tullows debts. Then compare with IMacs valuations. I don’t need to justify anything the facts are irrefutable. The value here has already increased by over £400m - commercial drill is priced in to some extent. Fact.

Csw, the mcap has increased by £400m since the start of March. At one point we were within touching point of the mcap of Tullow oil which produces 75,000 bond and is a FTSE250 company. I think that it is clear that a commercial success is priced in. That does not mean though that a gusher couldn’t ultimately result in a higher price. Good luck all. Fingers crossed for all holders.

Suggest you also note that we get 50% and that NPV is calculated according to a discounted flow rate ( discounts at 10% per year). We don’t yet know if it will flow let alone flow rate. Ddraig, I did not lose 20m on u-dog but It cost me 1.5% of my portfolio and I think SS should be in jail for lying. Fortunately good gains in other stocks GFM, Tullow, Travis Perkins, Standard Life, Kingfisher and funds like polar global financial and Guinness global energy have more than softened the blow.

Ddraig, I never stated the size of my portfolio it was calculated by a third party and I asked them not to discuss it again. But for what it is worth you are not the queen of England although via your post you purport to be!

Jdam, after 3 years as an investor I currently hold no shares. There will be inevitable dips and spikes . I hope for all parties that this is a gusher. I have made my cash from this drill and have no interest in it. I wish others even greater fortune. My interest now is the next drill and whether / when to take a position in anticipation. These companies are always the same sp falls on placing for drill, spud, speculation and sp increase, depending on result of drill sp increase, sp collapse or profit taking. The pro’s buy on spud and sell prior to result to take their guaranteed profits and then move to the next one. Wish I had known that 3 years ago!

Jdam, I guess it depends on your definition of “ a good result” as opposed to a gusher. We were previously at less than 0.5p and are now many multiples of that so something has been priced in given our MCap is now 470m and at one stage on Wednesday was circa 600m! It was previously circa 50 - 60m mcap. Forget the sp itself and focus on the mcap .The company value has increased by more than £400m and yet people don’t think a decent drill has been priced in, you couldn’t make it up, lol!

To be honest there is now not much to say. Everyone has placed their bets, reduced or removed them. We await the RNS regarding wireline on Tuesday ( probably). Many here will not understand it but I have cashed out what was a total woofer in my needs a miracle draw for a 5 figure gain and am over the moon. If this goes to £100 per share I will still be happy. Personally, I believe a good drill is priced in and thus expect profit taking unless we get the gusher. If so Do not despair there will be more drills, more excitement and more ramping. This party has legs volatility is guaranteed the fun part is playing your cards and making money on spikes, buying the dips etc. Good luck to everyone

Joe Bass actually this is a board for investors in Amur. Unless they are one sandwich short of a picnic they invest elsewhere and would be interested in other similar stocks. Mindless ramping is nauseating but limited wider discussion is a good thing. Many has been the time that I have got a heads up , thereafter investigated and decided to invest . It about balance.

DB, perhaps but only if there is a political stitch up. This appears to be stuck in political treacle and administrative red tape for a reason. However, there will be an end game which includes the mine being built. There is enough meat on the bone here for us to get some reward but we will see.

Hi Boldly, good luck with 88e. I made my profit and would be happy to see it rise strongly and others to do even better than me as I am well satisfied. In terms of EUA the easy money appears to have been made. Already rose from 5p. Mcap over £750m. I already have my fill of speculative miners and oil exploration companies. My 88e proceeds will go to Jupiter Financials, hsbc 250 tracker, wisdom tree industrial metals and Guiness global energy. I fancy a diversified play on global recovery. Good luck

Alba and Thor but not a ramp for either. I placed 1% of my portfolio in each of the 3. ( including Amur) . They all have great potential, they all could fall 50% and they could all multibag. As long as one does well I am happy. 88e has been my Easter miracle. Happy to take the money.

I have been here for circa 3 years. The mine resource is a winner. We now have the iron which pays to keep the lights on so no more placings. The issues ( remoteness aside) are IMHO political. This will get built the question is will we ever benefit? Patience is key here but things will suddenly move very quickly. 88e is a good example 0.5p in early March 4.5p yesterday ( ( I am sold out so no ramp). Amur remains one of my top 3 picks to 10 bag in 2021, or 2022, or....

Seahawk you may wish to take a look at the equation for calculating NPV. It is based on the time cost of money typically with a 10% annual discount. Thus the rate of potential extraction is critical to the NPV. At present all unknown. Good luck

FWIW my view was 1-3p pre drill result. 5 on a good result. 8-10 if gusher. The RNS intimated a good result hence the move to the 3-5 range. If you get a gusher expect this to rise but a good result may lead to profit taking short term. Suggest some gamblers actually read the RNS . This drill does not target 1bn barrels fact. 88e get half fact. If you check you will see that NPV of oil in the ground is no where near oil price time barrels it is typically 2-3 per barrel. Then look at current market cap ( not the sp). That is why investors were very happy to cash out. Also most investors have held long and strong far longer than the gamblers who have turned up in the last week or so and probably invested far more. A flutter down the bookies which is the way many seem to treat this is different to those of us who invested several thousands after extensive research. So good luck all. I will watch for drill results and decide thereafter whether to reinvest.

sold final tranche at 4.1825. Turned an utter dog into a very nice 5 figure profit. May buy back in after drill results. Buy the rumour, sell the fact. Sell the rumour buy the fact. This drill needs to be outstanding to justify north of 5p IMHO (note ** only get 50% and NPV is not the same as barrels x oil price). I sold out my last tranches for the Mrs and kids at 4.5 & 4.6 this pm - great result. Still hold 1m. It is now circa 5.3p ( us equivalent). Didn’t think this would hit 5 pre results. In early March my holdings here were worth 50k. Having pocketed £x thousands they still are. Thus financially my exposure to this drill is unchanged. GLA whatever your investing strategy.

I pity you! SS will take your money and instead of enjoying the money from 88 you will get to see SS enjoy it. I will not invest a penny until he does. But he won’t because he just does placing after placing. The man is a c u next Thursday.

When the bulls are charging it is hard to strike a balance. However, earlier this month the SP was 0.5p and I had £x of value if I cashed in. Assuming we open per close in Aus the sp will be circa 3.5 p and as a result of sales I will still have x if I cash in. The difference is I am in profit. Despite my sales my financial exposure to the drill result is still the same as in early March. Had I not sliced my financial exposure would have been far higher. Just a different way of looking at things. GLA - today should be brilliant.
