Teabiscuit,
I dont know whether you're still invested or whether you have read the last RNS.
Lab with BC,
Lab to process Saliva - without looking at google please tell me how many UK labs you know that sample saliva, I'm confident that even after looking at google you wont be able to give me an answer,
A lab has already been identified, this is a live production environment pre prod,
BC have upgrade contracts with US DOH, that's the equivalent of the UK Department of Health, they've already upgraded labs,
BC have the skills, the tools, the people.
I know exactly where you are coming from BUT, given the fact that we have waited for so long. How absurd would it be for any of us LTH to sell out now. I for one will not lose sleep if we get 10k tests a week. For me its not about the numbers. Its the validation. I agree that the test in its current guise is on par with any other test out there, and its priced the same or similar too. This makes it difficult to sell. That will explain why no major orders (yes we have sold some tests).
Can a JC between GDR and BC yield a saliva sample test, which is quick to process and automated? if the answer is yes, then its not going to be only us doing the hard work. BC will be pivotal. It massively derisks the investment. And going back to my earlier question, how many labs do you know who do mass saliva testing on PCR which is automated. If the answer is none or not many, this puts GDR / BC to the top of that list. And its not GDR doing the selling, its BC doing the selling and bundling our test with their kit. We may not dominate the world, but its significantly better than where we were 2 months ago @65p.
Then we have the AIHL due any week now, they did say Autumn
We have the HCV test
Lastly the POC Covid Test which is due towards the latter part of this year. You should know that I dont ramp this share. However I do believe that failure to capitalise on POC would be borderline criminal especially after the earlier PCR test disappointment . So i expect some traction on this test sooner than what the company stated in their timeline.
