The BIGGEST problem is i bet no government advisor knows how to narrate this to the public in a catchy slogan. Every single slogan Bojo has come out with apart from the first one has been ridiculed. 90% of people dont understand anything the government is saying, we only get it because we live this stuff on LSE everyday. So imagine trying to explain to Joe Public that they have antibodies, and they may disappear depending on when you got Covid, or that if you have antibodies and you get reinfected chances are itll be mild. There are too many variables here to explain.

At first i wont lie, i was ****ting it thinking here we go again. But actually as my opening line in this post suggests, for a scientific body to use immunity and antibody in the same sentence is good news. Also the main paper must be massive, this is a news sites condensed version in their own interpretation. HOWEVER BOTH has picked up on immunity and antibody.

You missed the most important part.... levels of immunity were unlikely. So SAGE reckon there are current levels of immunity.

How can that be negative? It’s what we’ve always known, antibodies gives immunity.

Isn’t that the same as a vaccine, it’s not a permanent fix?

The point is if it’s useless after 3 months, you need a test at one month, and a test at two months, and a test at three months.... thereafter if you have no antibodies your at risk again.

Wallbrook are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. We have the same problem at GDR.

From the UK Covid Index, NCYT are way ahead and fair play to them. Question is, where can you get the next meteoric rise from in the Covid index?

I would say its a toss up between ODX and GDR. Whichever one comes first, the other will be imminently following.

GLA DYOR, this isnt a ramp, just stating from all Covid stocks, the closest to mass market are GDR / ODX. Even if news doesn't land in the next few days, what GDR have and what GDR are working towards (Saliva / BC) should be sufficient reasons to exercise some patience.

Let me put this into context, im in GDR. GDR ramped up staff by 1 FTE to work on a 3 month temp contract supporting approvals. GDR have not sold a bean yet. You see where im going with this. And just for the record, GDR have big things in the pipeline with their Beckman Coulter partnership so its on an upward trajectory. Its definitely worth a look.

GDR aside, as you say, to hire 44 staff, that's HUGE. Keyboard warriors will never understand this. A whole new framework needs to be created to facilitate the increase in staff. The one time ****ty 39.99 microwave isnt good enough now. They need bigger and better everywhere. The old time keeping system of nodding at the boss when you walk in isnt good enough. Time keeping systems need to be deployed. Employment contracts, all sorts.....

Once these people have been hired, you cant just let them go if it doesnt work out. Its WAAAAY more complicated.

They would not commit to soo much expenditure if they didnt believe its happening.

One word of caution, please include some research about how other countries ARE doing antibody testing.

This government is sooooooooo INEPT, just to answer the question quickly they may just say still looking at the science like they did last time.
