There were some complaints about HL not working a couple of days ago, I think it was on the SNG board.
Annoyingly, I had a sell limit set at 3480 on ASC but it didn't happen just now. It got up 3483, I could see it hadn't actioned so I tried to sell at quote. IG told me that I couldn't short shares! Bl++dy cheek.

My trouble is, I can't just spend 5 minutes....It ends up 10 times that, I have to follow all the links and read that stuff then on and on. Talking of links....I am afraid that I am one of those believers that "golf is a good walk spoiled". Sorry.

Bought back into ASC at 3441, maybe somewhat too high.

We were trying to remember when we got rid of the TV, can't recall but it was many years ago. Still have regular fights with TV lincensing people who send outrageous letters every 2 years I think. No, don't get me started on that.
Anyhow, we decided that it was taking up too much time, we had gone through a long period of rationing ourselves to documentaries and films but in the end gave it up completely.
Talking of giving things up, I am considering stopping reading the chat boards (not ours of course), the AIM shares I am in have hundreds of posts a day and there are several of them. Mostly, maybe even 95% of the content is rubbish, the usual "BOOM", "RNS due" and my personal favourite: "I wouldn't want to be out of this share over the weekend".

m: My ASC sale was with IG. I did my usual trickon setting a limit sell within the spread which I think was 3458/3492 at the time. I agree something strange going on with ASC pricing. Settled down now. Waiting to buy back on weakness (my own)...perhaps 3430 or I could be too optimistic there. What's for breakfast? Kedgeree and chilled white wine?

Gosh, things change fast. ASC now positive, so far positive I have sold at 3472

Big drop on ASC which I assume is due to proposed online sales tax. Strange that BOO is positive though.

I have probably been involved in 8 or 10 RIs over the years, I have always subscribed, all but one of them was profitable although they were all scary for a while.

Apparently IAG instructed their brokers to " look into it" according to large article in Saturday Times.

Basically a dilution of the share price as more (new) shares are issued. In theory, if all the rights shares are taken up, you SHOULD end up with a net value the same as before the rights. Rights issue shares are offered at a lower price to that currently trading. In present climate I expect the rights price to be very low, know as "deep discount" to market price. It is not compulsory to take up the rights issue. They are offered such as 2 for every 7 you already own, for example.

Bought ASC back at 3404, maybe too high.
Most of my AIM shares doing OK, NCYT, GGP, SYN and AVCT but everything else looking very sad.
I expect you already know about the proposed IAG rights issue to raise £2.75B?

m: I bought ASC on your "recommendation/observation" yesterday afternoon. I could sell for a 1.5% profit right now thanks. I may wait for 2% though. Ooops alert, ASC gone up a bit, sold at 3431 for +1.8%. Thanks m

R: Of course it does, I don't know what is happening inside my head lately, I think I need a long holiday. I just looked it up on Google and would you believe it came back with "Reality Bulletin Board". Ha.

A: No, I didn't see it coming at all although perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised. It's getting close to chaos in the travel market. On the one hand we want it to be all over and getting back to normal as fast as possible on the other we want nobody else to be infected let alone die.
I am starting to feel rather grubby by just keep on trying to make profits out of this misery.

Just in case of confusion, my trapesium shaped window has 2 parallel but different length sides, at right angles to both is the top, the bottom is longer than the top. The reason is for asthetics as it is above the original house roof, so I have made the bottom of the trapesoidal window match the rood pitch. Ha...took longer to describe than to make!

T: I saw a "Midas" item on SNG in the Mail on Sunday online, it suggested selling half one's holding. Is that the item you saw? Of course they recommended selling half a while ago on a bump up. I didn't sell then. I did sell one third of my original holding this week and made 3 buy and sell trades for a some extra profit.

I see CCL in US closed at +0%.... at least it's not negative. Let's hope for a positive movement next week.

Ha, I was looking at the SNG board around 6 tonight and a conversation broke out about the relative merits of Rioja, Merlot, Shiraz etc as they discussed their celebration tipple of choice.
