Afternoon all. Sorry I have been a bit AWOL (can you be a bit AWOL?). Only managed one trade on ASC today.

m: I am nearly in your class...made just over a mere 1% on a 40p ASC range. It seems churlish somehow to make a bigger profit on a bigger range, Ha.

m and V: Sorry but I'll hang on until the wine festival (if I am invited that is).

Yes it was rather overcast at Bude but still delightful lazing on the beach with a picnic lunch and then later the obligatory Fish'n'Chips. I never seen Bude so busy, never and we go there a lot. I guess it must be the staycation effect

A: Yes, we will be getting fish and chips (and unminted mushy peas) in Bude later.

T: Yes I have been watching/listening to Trumps noise. I am usually in fits of laughter but I shouldn't be due to the seriousness of it all. It's 8.30 and I am already bored with the market, we are thinking of heading off to the coast as it looks like being a rather nice day.

A: Might be interesting to also look at the FTSE250 at the times of interest?

V: one front seat far forward, one far backward, first board slightly diagonal across the car fits under glove box and sticks out a long way but glove box frame is holding it from tiping. Then just piled another 7 on top. bound together with rope and yes, tailgate was partly open. The other 5 boards I cut shorter, roughly in half as I needed these cut anyway. I took my battery chainsaw with me to make it easier. Simples.

Pleased to report that my deckboards arrived at my little local (well 6 miles away) agricultural merchant and I managed to get 13 boards 4.8m long boards inside my Corsa....I say it would have been easier in a P205 but hey, I haven't got one any more. Did I miss anything on the market? No? That's what I thought.

I think I would be buying LLOY at this price (26p) but I am skint at the moment.
Off out for our normal shopping trip, back at lunchtime.

R: well I am in the front row now but I have previous reservations in row 100+ and 55 I think but at least I can see the screen from here.

T: You know that opening drop on the price of ASC is so regular that I am going to have a shot at setting a olw limit buy price before the open to try and get some shares on the cheap. A bit like catching a falling knife just before it hits the floor, hopefully.

R: Having bought CINE on extended settlement yesterday, I was a bit trigger happy to sell I suppose so I took a profit yesterday and have now bought CINE again at 39.1 why now join the brigade in the cinema, we almost have the entire front row (only using every third seat of course)...i's a double feature today, "How I beat the China virus starring D. Trump" followed by "How to make everyone confused" starring Boris but written by Cummings.

V: Yes, thanks for that, I notice that the most recent short position change is in feb so not too concerned now.

T: That would be good news indeed

V: 14% short on CINE? That frightens me a bit, think I might just take a small profit

OK squad I have joined the party and bought CINE at 37p, was having quotes at 36.6 but I dithered.

m: Bad luck but you may just be able to turn it to your advantage by buying them back cheaper. Good luck. Failing that, there's room in the guardhouse for.........

T: I don't think that I have ever thought this would be over with quickly. Obviously I hoped so. Remember that well respected American pundit who talked about this wouldn't be a "V" shaped recovery..back in March? Then we have had a couple of (failed) V shaped recovery attempts. Now it is looking like an "L". It is really only the inevitable boost to the pharmas that is keeping me in profit at the moment.
Have to apologise to IG for not selling my ASC at 3480 earlier on the spike...when I looked back through the log I found that my limit sell was at 3580 not 3480. Useful historic log that.

My word T, you never fail to be optimistic. Just as well, as I think it spreads to the rest of us in the company....otherwise the guardhouse would be full of failed attempted suicide cases.....I say failed because we're failing to make profits so there is no reason to think we would be any more sucessful at taking oneself out of the game. LOL.
