Not sure where the optimism is coming from really. Don't get me wrong, I am glad to see the rises across the board. Didn't I hear P&O? announce delayed start to their cruise dates. Then I heard the Russians are making vaccine progress. Generally I would rather be in cash at the moment..or is the start of a general pick up? FOMO keeps me invested and I suppose CINE today is great news. Long may it last.

m: Sold out of PLUS at 1350 earlier (using my limit sell within the spread trick) but am watching them with a view to buying back in. I thought I would buy at 1300, but they went through it at speed so I am waiting, I suppose there must be a lot of profit taking after all these are quite heady prices for PLUS. 1286 now and.....oh no, it's just bounced back up to 1307 Doh!

Sick as a parrot that I sold my CCL yesterday, very tempted to rebuy at 900 but dithered.

I sold my extra CINE at 44 I bought yesterday at 41.

R: Yes I have sold three tranches of PLUS, I was desparate to make some money this fortnight!

V: Looking at ASC and FEVR and they both look a bit high to me. I wil suggest IAG or BOO. Note all four are non stampy and the first two seem to have recovered better from the virus effect. I am holding IAG and BOO but not the ASC and FEVR. Having said all of that, I made two bad errors yesterday so don't listen to me.

Well I hope that at least one of us sold CINE when they were +22% because it wasn't me.

Yes, I am watching CINE too but not inclined to sell on this spike as it just may be the start of aserious uptrend, I hope.

opened the Rioja a minute early.....sorry. Have a good weekend all.

My brother and I always used to go to the flicks on Saturday morning. It was great. They even had a November 5th Guy competition. I think we got a prize, still have the group photo somewhere I hope. Used to cost 6p to get in I think, talking about the late 1950s. We went to the cimema nearly every week to see the main picture (and B movie), couldn't afford it but I delivered newspapers and the shop owner (David Riery) had an Odeon advertising hoarding which gave him a free pass to the cinema. Most weeks, he used to let us use it. Then there was the issue of getting into adult films, asking adults to escort us in etc.

m: I well remember sneaking into the local Odeon...one of our group would pay to go in, then when the film was on a dark bit he would let us in an emergency exit which was placed conveniently in a corridor on the way to the conveniences. We did get caught once but don't remember what happened.

Only 8.08 and CINE are down another 5%, at this rate the won't be worth anything by the intermission.

Well SNG and AVCT doing alright for me but HUR.....down 35%? Doh, think I'll go out for our normal thursday shop and a bit of a cry in a corner somewhere....oh look, all the corners are occupied with crying people. Ha.

Wow, quite a day really, lots of my holdings were up several percentage points but haven't sold much. Just did a ASC trade and a PLUS trade. NCYT up 13%, SNG up 5% both of which suffered from government announcement of another company's test being bought over the last couple of days. Aren't investors fickle?................................(yes I am)

DGE? Divi of 42.5p goes ex on the 13th? latest operating profit £2.1B, pubs starting to fill? Fools rush in is what I say....looked around for a fool and found one here typing, so I bought at 2645. Reckless? Moi?

T: Yes, I am gutted too, sold my last tranche of ASC earlier for 3570.
