V...thanks, Hope your plan with PLUS goes according to plan. It is very similar to mine, my plan includes "sell and make profit". LOL. Hoping to take advantage of good trading results on MRW released today, so looking to sell there.

V...well there was a little kick up on PLUS in the final couple of minutes but not high enough for me to sell. I really really wanted to so I could get into the happy club today but it wasn't to be.

Oh dear, oh dear, just bought some PLUS, may well be too early.

V... can't help with PLUS suggestions at the moment, I seem out of synch with a few shares this morning having messed up my GGP and RENE trading...not a good start to the year for me. Glad you're all doing better.
Not sure but maybe their is an excessive amount of trading going on today and we know from previous events, HL can have glitches.
Note that IG only charges £3 a trade (I think you have to have at least 4 trades a month for that) and no monthly fees.

One of my AIM pharmas, and sometimes I think I hold them all, RENE is up 15% but it's another share I just can't bring myself to sell.

Got a bit greedy with GGP earlier, had an offer to sell at 38.16 was waiting for 38.2 but didn't sell any. These are the 50,000 I bought last thursday at 36.54. Could still sell them at a profit I suppose or even sell some SNG? My sell button is stuck!

Yes, have been enjoying our quiet New Year so far although it is perishingly cold down here. The minimum has only been minus 5 but I think I am starting to feel it more as I get older. You know that expression in fashion: "brown is yesterday's black" well for me I think "zero degrees is last year's minus 10"!few hours trying to analyse my last year's trading and decided again to change my method of keeping records. Starting tomorrow, I am keeping 2 notebooks, one for purchases and one for sales. I know I don't really have to as the trade history is available from the trading platform, but remember I run 3 accounts, 2 ISAs and one normal.....well, you wouldn't expect me to do anything simple would you?
Happily, I have found some trading missing from my existing "system" which gives me some extra profit. I can't believe that I have got into such a mess really. I require a paper based system for my own peace of mind as I like to be able to keep up to date when I am trading away from my laptop. Incidentally, just discovered that "piece of mind" is an album by Iron Maiden.

CSDI....I noticed from the NG chat that you were invested there. I also noticed that my portfolio listed my NG. shares as NATG. I have been an on and off investor in NG for years and 2 or 3 years ago I bought just prior to a big special divi (£1+?). Of course as soon as they went ex divi, the price fell and has been "low" ever since, effectively trapping me in them. OK, I have been receiving regular divis but I haven't seen reliable opportunities to trade them.
I thought it would be a good defensive stock during Covid so I am relaxed but surprised they haven't done better. I believe their income from the generator companies is not really dependant on quantity of power transmitted by them. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I think a while ago they wanted to go into battery storage for their system but OFGEN blocked this as being against their remit of NOT also becoming a generator of power! Arguements ensued as to when is a storage device a generator? Did I read a while back they they were proposing to split the company into two. Not sure why? I also have invested in SSE, mostly for the divi but not for over a year now although I was more successful with them.

CDSI...am impressed with your rigorous approach, by formally having a written strategy for each of your holdings. Well done, you deserve to succeed. I trust you are keeping it under review and watching the news on particular shares and the general market. I might try to do something similar with my holdings but think I should thin them out first, obviously I would gain by getting rid of the underperformers and increasing weight in the better performers.
Trouble is I don't want to end up in just GGP, NCYT and a couple of others. I have been burnt in the past by having too much in one share that went bust. There must be a happy medium though and I will seek it.
I don't think I analyse the performance of each of my shares sufficiently and rely too much on just a general sweep of news information on my shares. I trust too much to instinct (luck) on my picks and aside from having a weekly profit target, (from shares sold at a profit) I don't have a longer term goal other to make profit, ha. Interestingly, I don't monitor the value of my portfolio very often....beginning to realise that I'm a bad bad investor. Ha.

I find it useful to analyse my holdings a few times a year, maybe decide on a different strategy.

T...wow, a true minimalist. I think we represent the two extremes of the spectrum.
Actually one of my "share buddies" has more shares than me, in excess of 40 at last count not that she is a day trader, ha, she only ever seems to buy!
