Well strictly I cashed out of NCYT at 450 to buy more here, and don't regret it for a second; medium term ORPH is by far the better company in my view.

Back in the good old days at CF's last Manchester presentation, I think it was February from memory, he was pretty clear that he expected the Research business to be bought by ICON, "but they just don't know it yet." Now it has to be said that ORPH is a different company now with different objectives, at least in the near term less so in the long-term I believe so this may no longer be his aim, but personally I think it will happen.
The thought that big pharma is going to buy the whole as it is, is I believe fanciful. ORPH is a collection of effectively seperate businesses and will be sold off, and likely added too, as such. It would only become a takeover target if it ever became just a single or at most a couple of closely related enterprises.
We shall see, good times ahead I am certain.

My feeling is that he has moved on from a quick sale of ORPH more towards using it as the traded vehicle to buy struggling businesses turn them round and then sell on followed by a distribution of excess cash. Just my opinion, it's what I would do in his position and it's the vibe I've got for a few months now; time will tell.
