Blencowe Resources: Aspiring to become one of the largest graphite producers in the world. Watch the video here.
Heid, I'm not disagreeing with the thrust of your points regarding wind turbines, but for the sake of accuracy the turbine blades are normally made from fibreglass not steel which would be far too heavy for the blades, the tower is steel. Also a great many of the blades are made in Hull, a huge shed on the old Alexandra Dock site, in fact as you go down Hessle Road on route to West Newton you can often see new blades stacked on your right just through the fence.
Santiago, I'm sorry that offends you so badly, but I can assure you of two things, 1) It is accurate & 2) There will be others worse. Anybody in here at Wick will have been over 90% down, and I certainly have better places for my money than to average down here.
Thanks for that S2000, we are in the same boat being share centre refugees with ii. I am aware of the telephone option but the fee is outrageous, and despite cutting my nose to spite my face I refuse to pay it. I am now in a position, at the risk of complaining about good fortune, where by the transfer I requested has risen £3,500 in the past week so rather messed up my ISA planning for this year. I feel IG calling.
Good look to you for the coming year.
Alwaysome and the other new arrivals. You need to do some research before telling LTHs that they are wrong. Cathal has on several occasions, once in my presence at a presentation in Manchester so thats over 13 months ago said that spin offs will be 1 for 1. I have to say that I did think at the time "I'm not sure how you can be sure of that" but say it he did. I was going to go back through presentations to find it, but then thought life is too short to do other folks research for them. Just get your facts straight before shouting others who know full well what has been said.
Has anybody else found it impossible to get a Bed and ISA on ORPH from ii today? I requested one at 9:20 this morning and it's still pending; my holding still in my trading a/c is getting close to ISA limit, I won't be happy if it rises and then leaves some in my trading a/c.
Whilst I agree that this will only be sorted out in country, it's worth noting that whilst in theory those with residency or a short term business visa can enter Mongolia subject to quarantine on arrival, this appears to be a bit theoretical at present since there are no, as in none zero from anywhere, international flights going to Mongolia at present this is being reviewed on 31/3 but since their infection rate doubled last week, we'll see.
Because they don't want to make a rod for their own back.
They publish the date, something happens quite possibly outside of their control, equipment late, personnel ill, whatever, and they then get all the usual culprits accusing them of incompetence and we get the nervous selling.
First rule of RNSs don't make a promise until it's absolutely nailed on, or better already happening.
RNST you state several "FACTs", unfortunately I can't find where the West Newton JV agreement has been published, perhaps you could point it out. All eventualities of who can sell what to whom and what % of holdings are needed to make an agreement binding on all partners will be covered in this. If you actually think that any partner can just off load at will, you are very likely wrong, but without sight of the agreement none of us know for sure.
If RBD really want UJO out of the picture the surest way is a successful hostile bid. Trust in DB to repel any such action, he can certainly rely on my support.
Heavy oil tankers are built to 33000 litres not 38000. You don't build hazardous tankers larger than is necessary due to it being illegal under dangerous goods regulations to move them at between 20 and 80% capacity. ie they are either less than 20% full or more than 80% full not inbetween.
The midlift will drop automatically when it reaches 30kph, the tyres suggest it's loaded. The trailer is a heavy oil tanker, not a waste tanker which would have anti vacuum ribs.
Much more interesting though is the HazChem plaque, now I only have my phone at the moment but with a bit if squinting I think the lower number is 1267, maybe somebody with a larger screen can confirm. 1267 is the UN code for Crude Oil.
AJW, a tanker load. A standard artic tanker in the UK is 44t gtw, a single compartment heavy oil tank semi trailer weighs 7600kg or there abouts, tractor unit tare weights vary greatly, but most tanker operators go to the lighter end so a tare of around 8400kg is reasonable including liquid pump, giving a total unladen weight of 16000kg, so a payload of 28000kg. Given a specific gravity of crude oil of 865gm/litre, although this varies according to API, this gets us 32700 litres in round figures, which is 201 UK barrels, or 278 US barrels. Incidentally virtually all UK market heavy oil/bitumen tankers are built for 33000l + 1% ullage.
Also worth bearing in mind for those counting tankers, is that they will always be full, a) because it's more cost efficient and b) because under hazardous goods by road rules moving a hazardous tanker at less than 80% full is illegal due to the ullage surge (sloshing about) making the vehicle unstable, this is legally allowed for milk and food stuffs, but not for hazardous.
Legally yes, but if UJO ever wants the opportunity of a future JV, having previously blocked the majority from selling would prove an obstacle.
This is all irrelevant anyway since it isn't going to happen, I am simply making the point the DB is not on his own in the driving seat at WN, there are other, larger views to be considered.
If you're a holder Nightgaunt did you vote for this back in November or not, or don't you remember/couldn't be bothered? I, likemost others voted for it, not because I like it but simply to preserve cash, either way this shouldn't have come as a surprise. If you voted against, well I'm sorry you lost, but the majority prevails and for most of us some small dilution is better than administration.
BP had to pay for the cleanup because they self-insure, ie don't bother with it, very common among companies of that scale and resource jurisdictios accept this because they know that if the worst happens they can pay. BPC on the other hand cannot pay so we carry clean-up insurance.
Yes, those tax losses are our biggest asset by far currently.
