I think most shareholders will have already determined their risk profile for this share. For me it sits in the part of my portfolio that is high risk and high reward. Disasters happen, but overall this part of my portfolio outperforms the boring stuff. I actually believe it will continue to be a roller coaster of a ride. We own shares in a company large enough to be in the FTSE100.

It's either profit taking or the shorters selling to keep a lid on it. They can't afford to have to buy the rest of their short back too high. They could be trying to discourage buyers.
We will see how we're doing when the results come out. Not too long now.

I am going to top up. I too am concerned they may drift a bit for the next few weeks, so I'm holding off right now to see further market reaction. I could of course miss out at a good buy.

It looks like the market had a lot of appetite to suck up some large sells. Demand will tail off in the next few days, and with low volume the traders may find it difficult to buy back at a lower average. We shall see. Personally happy to simply wait for the share price to rise and enjoy!

If it becomes hard to sell, you can be sure it will be far harder to buy. Personally, I'm keeping my holding for the dividend going forwards, and may add further as funds permit.

That is fine. That all move to the new KAZ company, exactly as intended now, instead of the Jersey company. I'm just adding in a new Russian company that ONLY holds the share of the KAZ company, and is in turn held by the Russian shareholders.

This also has the advantage that the Jersey company could then develop other opportunities in different locations, and these would be owned solely by the Jersey company.

Personally, I don't see why they can't create a company in KAZ to hold the assets. Then create a company in Russia alongside the one we already have in Jersey. The Russian company would own x percent of the KAZ company, and the Jersey company owns the rest. All shares on Moex would move to the Russian company. There is no need to list the Kaz company anywhere. The new Russian company would need to be listed in Moscow.
I know of other large corporations that create joint ventures in a third location, perfectly OK and split the assets of the third company depending on contribution. Its just our starting point is just slightly different.

Seems like it's been oversold given the POG is 10% higher than company forecasts, leading to at least a 25% increase in profit. Our production target for full year hasn't changed either.

A couple of shorters posting here will need to buy back too....

At the moment shares can be bought back on LSE for £2.28!! MOEX investors would love that, reducing the share pool that much. In reality I feel we'd be far closer to £4 (or higher) when buy backs started...

Buybacks are always at market value. The market decides! If a buyback scheme were to start I can't see us anywhere near the current share price. Add that to the positives!

Potential 50% yield in 2024

I think UAE would be an excellent location. Lots of mining starting up in that part of the world. Moving in the oil money. Would be nice to get another location going in a few years.

I see Citadel slowly reducing / closing their short. Citadel LLP now below reporting threshold. It's going to be a tough slog for them finding the shares, especially if we get a good update (which I expect!).

For me, the trading part is not a big deal. As long as there is a route to cash out in the future, that is all I want. The main part is a broker that will hold these in my ISA and SIPP, and will collect the dividend in their nomination account for me. These are now long term holds for me for my pension.
