There wouldn't be 32% institutional holders voting yes if this wasn't a reasonable deal. To stop this you'll need over 120m shares voting against, just to counter the institutional instructions.

Others are not at all easy.

I'm voting YES. It's a simple decision to reinvest in another high dividend paying company. My average yield is around 8%. So my buys here at 9p paying 11% were good. Not good at 13.9p paying 7.2%, so I'm investing my cash back into my other shares for high income when this goes through (as I expect it to). Will probably keep the free GTE shares.

That's a good question cosmo! Why are there so many sellers at this price when the concensus here seems to think we're worth more, perhaps 16p+!! More appropriate is, are the people here that are recommending to reject the offer, the ones selling?

Why not take the 50% uplift to 9p to 10p and invest in another company paying 10%? That way you end up with 15% yield on your investment. There are other companies paying that with similar risk profiles and future prospects.

That is my plan.

Lots of trading going on here. Those who sold will want this back at 9p for their 11% dividend. Some who are saying reject the offer may be genuine. Many will be those that have sold this morning.

Just my view of never trusting anyone on here and doing my own research.

GLA whatever your choice. I'm sticking hoping the offer will go through for a nice 50% gain. I never get attached to any share.

At 13.9p it's just over 7% divi. Not so attractive. Of course if you think the shares are worth 9p then you get 11%.

So some on here want to vote no?? Yet loads are willing to sell out at 12.15p? That shows how this company is viewed as a stand alone entity. Be realistic. However, if another offer was to come in, that's a different matter. Let's see.

However, happy with the offer if it goes through. A share is only worth what it's being traded for, and this has been around 10p for a while. I'll be holding for the outcome, and will most likely keep the GTE shares if the offer goes through.

I can certainly understand the frustration if you bought in at a much higher price.

I see I3E is possibly going to be taken over by Bob's favourite GTE at 49% premium. This share is very similarly undervalued IMO. Should be positive to sentiment here.

Patience is required. They are investing a lot of their profit in development of infrastructure. Plus a great return with dividends. This is a company that is definitely growing, but in a careful controlled way to minimise risk. I love it!

If the seller is almost done we could also hit 11p by ex divi day!

Anyone know how much storage we have on site? Would have thought this was key to buffering production during dry season and ensures we can continue maximum production throughout. Then sales can catch up after dry season.

Nice to see a director buy on Friday. Positive oil price movement too. Issue is river level, but assume that factored into budget. Does seem like a bargain price ATM. Only time will tell.

True Matt. Also looks like OCP may be getting closer to being used again.

Confirmed low buy backs, looks like there may not be much in next 6 months with higher costs. Dividend is also as expected, but down from last years 2.5c this quarter.

Extra credit line opened that will help cash flow and development. No news of PSUs, that will come in a couple of days.

Overall as expected and I guess with POO where it is explains the shareprice.

Still looks undervalued, but also balanced by where it is and local risks.

The main issue for me is the POO has fallen for the past 4 weeks and now sitting just below their budgeted value. However the whole oil sector down, even my i3e shares getting hammered.

Waiting for the update in 2 days. The last couple have been below my expectation, although still OK. I probably expect too much from the BoD after their performance last year which I think was outstanding.

Also thinking of a top up, but would like to see a bit of stability first in the oil price and a decent update in the next week.

The markets as a whole a bit worrying as we are also entering traditionally the weakest part of the calendar for stocks.

Most REITs now reducing discount to NAV before interest rates start falling. Still an incredible discount here that should start to reduce IMO. Looking ever more like an incredible bargain buy in price.

The oil price remains above their budget for the year of $77 for the whole of this half year. Great production figures, so should be a good update coming. I can only assume some are worried about erosion costs and the dry season.

The tone of the next update will be key to investor sentiment IMO.
