I have never argued about the value of the company, I agree with most of what you say, I am interested in "real profit" AFTER all the crap, the reality is that if the share price goes up, which SHOULD happen, then we will all be happy. I make no bones about the fact that based on fundamentals this company is massively undervalued, and due a re-rating, but the two PS, have a track record of overstating things, and this has happened on numerous occasions including just before the rights issue, when they informed that the debt refinancing talks were going well.

They were going that well that the company nearly collapsed, and small shareholders lost a lot of money.

Hopefully, they have learnt from their mistakes, but it still leaves a sour taste. And at the end of the day, if we are talking POG we should all want the same. The company to expand and flourish.

I am not interested in EBITBA, I am interested in what is left after the debt amortisation and anything else they like to hide is taken out of the equation.

EBITBA is just an accountants way of fudging the figures. ( In my opinion. I do agree the company SHOULD be on a growth trajectory, BUT, what other rabbits do they have to pull out of their hat , like the "clouded" land deal.

Hedging might end soon, but I am sure the company will hedge more for next albeit at a higher price than last time, as it was the mere fact that they did not hedge in the past, AND Peter gambling on the gold price that nearly caused the fatal collapse of this company.

Hedging is not a bad thing as it will guarantee profitability, and if the gold price continues to rise, thats good as well as the next year we can hedge at a higher price.

What we dont want is the gold price to drop, and it affecting our future prospects. ( My opinion only )

I think what they are alluding to is having " real profitability" which should allow them to be able to increase cash to reduce liabilities when due.

I agree the wording in not clear, but, at the moment we are not even generating free flow cash which was proved when we had to increase the bond issue. But, it looks as if this has been done for the right reasons and if proved correct, should lead to a big increase in share price, BUT, in my opinion only in the longer term, not like the 35p someone alluded to in the last month.

I believe, in the short term, the convertables will keep a lid on the share price, like they did previously, but longer term, potential has to be excellent. Unless they change the goalposts which they have done in the past.

It seems nothing is ever fully transparent with Pog which is why they are not trusted.

Did I not also read, subject to shareholder approval, but they have already paid out some cash ??? Need to have another read tomorrow to digest it.

Canaccord upgrades Petropavlovsk to 'buy'

(Sharecast News) - Analysts at Canaccord Genuity upped their stance on London-based gold mining company Petropavlovsk from 'speculative buy' to 'buy' on Thursday, stating that some increased clarity had given it the confidence to upgrade.
With significant news flow coming from the company recently, Canaccord said it was increasingly confident on Petropavlovsk after achieving greater clarity on its strategy and the identification of several growth options.

The Canadian broker, which also raised its target price for the group's shares from 12p to 16p, said Petropavlovsk's successful commissioning of four autoclaves at its POX Hub and the ramp-up in treating refractory concentrates from its Malomir mine had also given it much reason to believe in the group's outlook after witnessing things "progressing well" firsthand.

Canaccord noted that Petropavlovsk was currently constructing a flotation plant at its Pioneer mine, expected to enter production in late 2020 and double refractory ore processing capacity to 7.2 million tonnes per annum.

"The spare capacity at the POX Hub presents POG with a number of options," said Canaccord.

Lastly, Canaccord pointed out that one of Petropavlovsk's main ambitions was to reduce net debt and said it forecasts that the company could be net cash positive in 2022.

"Our target price was formerly based purely on NPV. We now base it on the rounded average of our NPV analysis, and discounted P/E and EV/EBITDA multiples relative to the market," said Canaccord.

"We apply a 12% discount rate to calculate our NPV, and discount our market multiples by 50%. As POG's recovery progresses we would expect to take a less conservative approach, leaving scope for a further increase in target price."

And thats the problem, we havent been servicing the debt, thats why it increased with the latest financing of the bonds/ They need to PROVE that they can repay debt, not just service it.

KRSS EBIDTA Is an accountants way of fudging the figures.

We dont want any more debt, we need to reduce it. ( All my opinion )

I am certainly not negative on POG. If POG do what they say they are going to do and start making profit to reduce debt, the company share price will increase markedly. The problem here is the market " has heard it all before" from both Peter and Pavel. They need actions now, not words, once that comes, it will turn around.

As Retired Banker has alluded to.

There doesnt seem to be a rush to invest in IRC, They are running at nearly maximum profit and making very little money.

When eventually amir bridge is opened it may just allow then enough to pay back their debts, but, ultra profitable. Highly unlikely unless iron ore price goes through the roof.

Saying that I dont class it as a basket case yet ( unlike Retired Banker ) But, I may be wrong.

pvx233, Please advise me how POG are getting $8.9m a year for the guarantee, and how you feel the company will be unhedged from December.

The company has a track record of making bad decisions on the gold price and I do not believe they will not hedge future gold sales and take advantage of the high price going forward.

Retired Banker, You mention the loan at 6%. The amount is not very big, in relation to the money borrowed by POG, so maybe thats why the rate is lower.

If, and I always use the word, if, they get it right, it will be multiples of this price, I agree the convertables helps keep the price down, unless they can find the cash to get rid of them once and for all.

The board lost the trust of the markets years ago. Many false promises many false dawns, including telling the market we had a solution for the debt, before a highly dilutive rights issue long before you were invested.

A lot of people just seen the plain facts. They dont know whats gone on Before. I do..........!!!
