The launch button of the innovative gold mining enterprise, the Pokrovsky Autoclave-Hydrometallurgical Plant, will be pressed during the V Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 4-6 in Primorye. The company will be the second in Russia to launch advanced technology for the extraction of refractory gold. This was announced today, July 10, in the government of the region at a press conference on the preparations for the WEF.

When a private company wants to complete a share redemption or purchase of own shares it is initially required to use its existing distributable profits or the proceeds of a new issue. In some cases there might not be sufficient distributable profits and the company may not want to issue new shares. A private company can then fund the excess above the distributable profits out of capital.

The Companies Act 2006 does allow a private company to make a small payment out of capital of the lower of £15,000 and 5% of the aggregate nominal value of its fully paid share capital without any additional requirements.

If, however, this amount and any distributable profits are not sufficient to meet the planned redemption or purchase of own shares then the private company can make a permissible capital payment. The amount of the permissible capital payment is the difference between the price paid by the company for the shares and the distributable profits of the company. I thought that the agreement agreed at the A.G.M was for 10% ??
