I wonder if the priority groups will stay the same or will they be amended in the light of experience?

Could anyone tell me if there is any benefit having a booster of a vaccine that targets the original strains which I am already vaccinated against and the omicron strains that I have contracted.

As it stands, I won’t be rushing to get a 4th jab. A “universal” vaccine would be an entirely different proposition.

Who sets the odds?
In a way you can set your own odds as you can choose your entry and exit points.
I think this could make £1 (10 to 1) so I will probably exit when it gets there.

I think the bookmaker/market analogy is spot on.
The price of both is set using data, knowledge (sometimes inside knowledge) and probability. Can a punter beat the bookie. You bet they can! A punter can take a bigger risk with a small stake than a bookie can afford to lose.
Similarly, a PI can stake a small proportion of their portfolio on a 10 to 1 outsider. A pension fund manager may prefer the odds on dividend paying companies.

What kashdog describes may not match your personal experience but is very realistic to many I'm sure (including me).
No post is "unhelpful". You may not agree with a post one a post may be just plain wrong but everything posted gives a useful insight into sentiment, strategy etc.

I just found it a bit ironic that we've been banging on about data, data, data for years and now we have some we think maybe it would be a good idea to recruit someone to assess it. Or possibly they did recruit but have so many patients that one can't handle the vast amounts of data being gathered. Like I said earlier, whatever the reason it can only be a positive sign now.

I'm a little surprised that the team wasn't in place by the start of the trial - were that not expecting to get any patients?

If you mean the Kate Bingham who has a first class degree in biochemistry, has worked for many years for a venture capital company (specialising in biotech), lead a government task force to procure vaccines and is banging on about better Covid vaccines - I'd say there was a good chance she is aware of Scancell.

Just to be clear, I too condemn personal abuse. To be honest I though the post was a bit of a rant and didn't understand a lot f it. My name was mentioned as someone who calls you out. I can't think what they referred to? I call anyone out if they make an incorrect statement - I don't discriminate!
