If the Australian Prime Minister is openly pledging January to deliver the vaccine, which is just 4 months away, you can bet your (US) bottom dollar, Trump will see it is delivered in time for November, just 2 months away.

The market is accepting that Oxford/AstraZeneca will share their preliminary Phase 3 trial data in ONE WEEK (quoted as saying mid-September). The market is pricing this in and we can now expect to see recovery stocks including leisure/cinema to join that, too.

Share price was 164p when shorts were 14%, given they are on their way to half of that, we are indeed oversold and due a recovery akin to rival cinema group, AMC Entertainment (NYSE: AMC) who, as Laidback correctly points out have recovered 80-90% of their SP and Cineworld in comparison just 33%. We should indeed be at 150p. This will come, it's just a matter of time.

We have to keep in mind that Cineworld actively push their monthly subscription service, Unlimited.

Warner Bros have said Tenet will be more a marathon than a sprint.

They have argued the case for theatrical release and were brave enough post Solistice Studios, releasing Unhinged. The results whilst down from 2019, given the partial reopen of the US, demonstrate strong demand and present the case for more movies this year. The new Bond movie, Wonder Woman 84 and Marvel’s Black Widow are still set for 2020 and will further strengthen confidence in cinema going prior to a vaccine.

With the government now pushing “Seat Out to Help Out” together with positive box office demand, we should have a very positive day for the share price.

Rich Gelfond, chief executive of Imax, said the Tenet results were strong enough to warrant a Wonder Woman theatrical release this year. 

“What [Tenet] was about was proving that people would go to the theatres in significant numbers. It definitely proved that,” said Mr Gelfond, pointing to strong results in China. 

The results in Tenet’s first US weekend were “very strong in the context that a lot of North America still wasn’t open”, he added. 

Paul Dergarabedian, senior analyst at ComScore, said the initial results for Tenet were “solid”.

Investors should email, Culture Secretary, Oliver Dowden to ensure the scheme goes ahead and includes cinemas. I’m looking forward to more developments on this, tomorrow.

This together with US box office figures should see us blue.

I just recalled that Cineworld has been streaming theatre performances and ballet for sometime. This could very well extend to cinemas as well, but this doesn’t detract from my earlier comment that a backing from government for leisure is huge news.

Expect the market to read positively to this, along with RTN (Restaurant Group) tomorrow.

This is indeed BIG NEWS for Cineworld.

Irrespective of tickets will be subsidised, this is a CLEAR MESSAGE to the public from the Government than they want leisure activities to return. Cinema is no exception. I and many like minded investors could care less if the monetary incentive translates to cinema, we already know that the Government has extended a VAT cut to cinema tickets.

Again, the big news is the government are actively saying, to go large auditoriums and sit with other patrons and enjoy a show. I would argue that cinema is far safer. Live actors are not talking and breathing over patrons, with cinema it is preformed over video and thus far safer.

The market will read into this that leisure is being actively supported and encouraged.

Warner bros may be taking a higher cut or ticket sales but this is positive. The industry wants Warner Bros to succeed and demonstrate to those who doubted box office sales could generate enough to cover costs for studios and return a profit. At the moment, Tenet is doing this, driving footfall and concession sales. Least we forget that Cineworld actively push for Unlimited memberships, which return a guaranteed passive income regardless of attendance in screens. Given Bond has released a second trailer, Wonder Woman 84 remains on track along with Marvel’s Black Widow, we can expect more POSITIVE media exposure as we see western territories JOIN China and recover box office to pre covid levels.

Millions of patients have been denied hospital treatments because of the precautions taken against covid. Mortality has increased outside of covid exponentially.

Governments are no longer pushing for indefinite furlough, they want the economy restarted hence the stamp duty cut, the eat out to help out and VAT deductions which cinema tickets within leisure are presently enjoying.

The government is encouraging the public to consume and return to work/leisure.

This explains why the mortality rate is so LOW . Just 2/3 deaths associated with covid now.

It seems Vue cinema, like AMC and Cineworld are securing additional finance/debt to see them through the covid period. This reaffirms they Cineworld certainly isn’t alone with debt refinancing. This will, like a cineworld, mitigate them from liquidity risks.

The latest figures are stating that of 2998 cases there have been just 2 deaths associated out of a 65m U.K. population. It’s safe to say this virus has been defeated in most western territories. I am beginning to believe a vaccine may not even be required, should Trump continue to push for one next month, ahead of US elections.

In comparison the odds of winning the lottery are 1 in 45m.

Peel Hunt, which this thread is built upon mention nothing about takeover. That is just rumour mil. The fundamentals are what Peel Hunt talk about which are becoming more apparent by the week. Box office demand is growing.

Don’t think Peel Hunt curry favour as well. They previously downgraded Cineworld from Buy to Hold slashing its 300p target to 140p.

Now they PROMOTE it to BUY and set a target to 180p, easily achievable when just 6 months ago the target was 300p. If you can be patient and hold onto your winning tickets, you will be rewarded handsomely.

Don’t forget, shorts on Cineworld were at 14%, almost DOUBLE what they are now and the share price was 164p.

They cited a strong demand would send this back to pre-covid levels.

No surprise we have seen rival cinema group, AMC recover to 90% of its share price whilst Cineworld artificially sits at just 33%. Cineworld’s share price should be 150p+

Let us wait for Tuesday, Tenet box office for the long Labor Day holiday will be in and should demonstrate $200m by this time reaffirming Peel and Hunts analysis and further fuelling the share price recovery.

It’s a 22 minute train ride from New York to New Jersey. Those who want to see the movie will, and like we witness with drive thrus, once the staggered the re-open the queues were astronomical. Many complained certain regions had them open before them and wanted to be part of it.

This doesn’t even account for Sunday. I think we are due some very encouraging data that will demonstrate what all investors have know for some time. Cinema isn’t going anywhere. Richards from Vue was quoted saying every 6-12 months critics say cinema is dead and streaming platforms will end it.

Well, cable tv, Blueray DVD have been about for decades and VOD has been with us since 2010, a full decade, the cinematic/theatrical exhibition is irreplaceable, it also compliments a day or evening out.

The same way, microwave meals haven’t killed off eating out, the box office demand is doing the talking.
