China this week became the first global market to make a “full box office recovery” according to targets developed by the U.K.-based film industry analytics firm Gower Street.

Is it any wonder we saw rival AMC jump 16%, yesterday?

Peep & Hunt have been quoted as saying, Cineworld has a very fast recovery coming, hence the 180p target.

I think we can expect a SIGNIFICANT rise in the share price for Cineworld, today.

Yesterday was technically the last day for Eat out to Help Out. With pre-sales higher than Dunkirk and Intersetellar, this does seem like the movie that has brought a lot out to watch and eat out.

I think we are in for some very positive data next week when the Box office sales are announced.

The Unhinged $4.1m is what triggered the earlier rise, demonstrating demand, Tenet will simply re-iterate that.

With more Regal cinemas opening this Friday, expect some positive box office sales reported soon, after.

Studios have known for some time they internationals box office equates to 70% of total take.

Tenet was the first to launch across the world before domestic US, I can see this model being picked up by more studios.

We could see more movies coming forward for release.

If a movie like Unhinged can do well, it’s a given Nolan’s Tenet will exceed that.

He actually scores a huge own goal when he posts a video SIX MONTHS old citing how awful a decision Cineworld’s acquisition of a Cineplex is.

The irony is so much. Cineplex breached their own covenants and consequently gave rise to Cineworld walking away from the deal.

So to post a video claiming Cineplex deal is bad, is pointless and just illustrates how stale the video is. Cineworld aren’t acquiring Cineplex, so why post a video stating it’s a bad decision to do so.

It supports my belief that Indepth is a BOT. Hence the replies are duplicate and vague.

Investors aren’t naive they can see through his deramps and pay no attention.

The fact we are debating the movie is exactly what Nolan does so well, I'm sure Reddit has a number of threads on the movies right now.

Tenet, it's an intelligent film by a master in movie making, Christopher Nolan. All movies have their own merits and demographics; those who go to watch Tenet are looking for something beyond explosions and scantily dressed women to ogle at. They want to be drawn into the story, perplexed and confused as they join the protagonist through the same journey for the reveal, which Nolan does so well, towards the end or the bigger question that remains unanswered.

I'm seeing it tomorrow with friends and I'll post back my opinion, as well. No doubt it will vary, but that is what makes storytelling and movie making so compelling.

I agree, it's no seret that studios pushed their releases to next year for theatrical exhibition. They know what side their bread is buttered. They didn't want to see a loss and go PVOD. This is the biggest support that many don't see that studios absolutely depend on theatrical release, else we would see all movies made for tv and on PVOD, skipping cinema.

The other question to ask is:
If Tom Cruise has Top Gun 2: Maverick pushed to next year, when he ALSO plans to release Mission Impossible 7, why doesn't he assess the market and demand and perhaps look to BRING FORWARD Top Gun 2 to Q1 2021 rather than Q2 2021? I can also see movies running for longer beyond 90 days, which goes against what AMC and Universal are cooking up with 17 days. That isn't a model that is going to work as studios appreciate Tenet is displaying for longer and across more screens.

Cruise made his intentions to pursue practical thrills clear to studio Paramount before the shoot kicked off in earnest. “I said to the studio, ‘You don’t know how hard this movie’s going to be. No-one’s ever done this before,’” the star laughs. “There’s never been an aerial sequence shot this way. I don’t know if there ever will be again, to be honest.”

Cruise is about as serious a movie maker as you will get. That is passion that has a clear motive and that is to sustain theatrical viewing as we witness with this London trip to watch Tenet.

Cineworld are already ahead on passive revenue streams and the diversification of their customer base.

Regal refurbishments have introduced bars and “synergies” is something they have touted as a big priority for this very reason.

Shorts are nothing new, in Jan 2020 this year shorts were 14% and share price was 164p.

If it it can hit 164p at such a high short rate, we can certainly see £1+ at 9%

This was announced late today, so expect the market to pickup on this, tomorrow.

It will appease the elderly for sure.

Pizza Hit is synonymous with Cineworld as they are nearly always within close vicinity of one another in a leisure park, for instance.

Weekends to look forward to and some very positive media coverage and importantly box office sales.

We hear from across the pond on Unhinged capturing $4.1m on an opening. I really want to see the data on Monday/Tuesday following the first week of Tenet. At 20% occupancy to turn a profit, it’s going to be an eye opener for the city analysts.

Cinema isn’t going anywhere. Tom Cruise certainly testified to that when he posted on Insta his secret outing to London to watch Tenet.

Data from OpenTable shows that during Eat Out to Help Out’s third week the number of customers at UK restaurants was 61% higher than the same days last year on average for Monday to Wednesday.

That is huge news.

61% UP over 2019, never mind Pre-Covid!

That is footfall and the public not cautiously going out but significantly wanting to enjoy a meal out.

All bodes well for cinema footfall. I imagine today with a meal, subsidised Wednesday, Tenet will do VERY WELL.
