COVID-19: Mental health has deteriorated most among young people, UK study finds20 Aug 2020 06:48
The study found that young people, women, and those with small children in the UK saw their mental health worsen significantly more than other groups.
It cites that, whilst the original motive for a lockdown was to alleviate pressure on health providers, it was imposed at the cost of mental health, which is doing far more damage to the age group than coronavirus.
Statistically, under 45s make up 82% of U.K. cinema audiences with the 15-24 making up a third, the largest group of all.
No surprise that we have seen such a surge in eating out, going to the pub and wanting to participate in leisure and recreational activities, which will include cinema.
The number of deaths in the U.K. for under 45s, related to Covid is UNDER 500. To put that into perspective, the risk percentage is 0.000007%. No surprise then we have read the more common flu has killed more people in the UK than coronavirus for eight weeks in a row, now. Almost seven times as many people are now dying of influenza or pneumonia than Covid-19, according to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics.
