But the red arrow pointing up, is only attached to the Oil Drum, So does that means that only oil will go Up ?

No, seriously now, that is a good chart, but what I would say is :

Could it be that the S&P 500 is too high comaired to commodities ?, and in this case, the S&P 500 will come down, not the commodities go up ?

Causal :
You are right, the reality is that there is more demand for Copper, but also don't forget that prices are also effected by Speculations and Sentiment , and I think this is what is playing now.

But as you said, in the Medium term, reality will set in, and Price will pick up.

The Big Question is : When ?

Disco12 : yes, for sure, but not for me !, I am fully in , and will just have to stay with it
I could sell now and buy again later, but as you know, Copper can change direction very quickly , for me, I would rather be in paper loss, better than actual loss.
So, I am not selling, and will hold till the Cow goes home :)

So, now I have learned a valueble lesson to be more patient !

Rastuss : Yes, I think the Chinese will come up with a Huge Stimulus , they will not want to be seen backing down in any negotiations with the US, even they are facing the prospect of more Tariffs.
Actually, I think if they do that, then they will be the winners in this trade war, because the US market will react badly to increasing the tariffs .

We will just have to wait and see what happens in the next 2 weeks or so.

I think there are many investors got caught in this latest epesode, because almost every one beleived that the deal would be done this week, so, you are not the only one ! , I also have learned a good lesson in this, my profit for the last few months nearly wiped out :(

Lets hope that copper price will improve soon.

Rastuss; I agree with you, I am looking at the daily chart for copper, and it can Easley slide down to 2.5 if nothing happen on the 2 fronts that you mentioned (Trade ware, and Stimulus ).
But I remember that you favoured the scenario where there will be no US/ China agreement, then china will go with a big stimulus.
Do you still think the same ?, and do you think this would reverse the copper price slide. ?

I am holding what I bought couple of weeks ago, and hoping !

Morning All,
Now the first quarter results are a “blowout” and the US GDB is revised to 3.2% from 2.2%, I think Dr Copper will respond kindly, as it is the barometer of the Word Economy, which is driven mainly by the US economy.

I would expect a bounce in copper price in the coming days/ weeks, and obviously KAZ sp will follow.

As for BOA short position on Copper, I think they will quickly cover it.

Causal , Yes, I have something else to tell, and I think this could have been a factor in the drop of copper price in the last few days.

Apparently, Bank Of America put a Short on Copper, it is in this article :

But I think this short will fail, because I think they were anticipating a much weaker first quarter results, and now after the strong results been annonced, copper will climb .

I hope I am right , or I will be scrapping the barrel too :)

I think what happened yesterday and today was some sort of a domino effect from Freeport-McMoran sell off !
There has been panic selling , shooters jumping in and it is clearly an Over sold situation.
We are now down for 5 days none stop , that didn’t happen more than once in the whole of last year !!

So, I expect a good bounce next week considering all factors.

OK, All In now, my average is 675

As expected, bounced of the 50 day MA (around 665), and started to climb up now.

I don't think, and would be surprised if it drops more, but I of course , I might be wrong !

Hopefully we will start to see a better prices from tomorrow.

All eyes now on the US/ China Trade progress

Bought another Tranche this morning to take advantage of this dip, and improve average price.

Kaz SP looks "Over Sold" on the charts now, and I would expect some reversal from tomorrow.

Looking now for news on the US/ China Trade deal, which will improve the Copper price and Kaz will follow

Thanks for your valuable opinion, as always .
Yes I agree with you, as a matter of fact, I myselfe sold last week, and waiting for a good price to get in again.
So, as you said, others are doing the same thing, and maybe waiting for the results tomorrow befor making a dession to buy, I know that they always say not to buy before results day, to avoid any nasty surprises.

If the price drop further this afternoon, then I might be tempted to buy a tranche

Lets wait and see what will be revealed tomorrow.
